1 Chronicles 16:41 NKJV

and with them Heman and Jeduthun and the rest who were chosen, who were designated by name, to give thanks to the Lord, because His mercy endures forever.

When King David brought the ark of the covenant back to Jerusalem, he organized continual worship and praise to God in the tabernacle where the ark was kept. What a heart for praise and worship! Here is someone who had some idea how great God is and how worthy He is of our worship. People had assigned tasks to make sure praise and worship was going up to God continually. 1 Chronicles 16:41 reveals that specific people were assigned to the task of giving thanks to the Lord because of His mercy. Others could do it, but this was an assigned task to make sure it was done. Do we understand like they did how important the mercy of God is to us? May we include worship and thanksgiving every day for God's mercy on our lives.
