Romans 15:13 NKJV
Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Paul expressed his desire for the Roman church to be filled with joy and peace through their faith in God, so they would overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. So we can see that one of the reasons we want to be full of peace is that it affects our ability to hope. I can see the connection between peace and hope. It is not possible to be full of hope and have no peace at the same time. It is the peace of God within us that allows our hope to arise and continue. It is the hope that is strong in us that causes us to be at peace. So a lack in one shows a lack in the other. Let us strengthen our hope and peace today by drawing closer to the God of hope and peace.
