The dream continued:
While waiting in the outdoor area of the compound, a guy rode by in an outfit that looked like the pope. His head piece was not fitting properly. It appeared like we were in a place where people would be interested in the pope and they sent out a look alike. I assumed this was for entertainment while we were shut in.
Back inside the building, a black man was talking about praying to St. Basil for help to get out of the situation we were in. He mentioned that St. Basil was powerful and could be relied on to answer prayers. Someone else at his table commented that we were not supposed to pray to anyone but God. I got into the conversation from my table that was nearby and explained that praying to St. Basil was not acceptable in our belief system which was based on the Bible. According to our beliefs, that would be witchcraft. I explained that the gentleman’s belief, which was Catholic, was not based on the Bible but on traditions. I explained that Catholics had the right to believe as they chose but I wanted to explain why we had a difference in our view of who to pray to in a time of trouble.
This portion of the dream , in addition to emphasizing who we need to turn to for help in a crisis, had an interesting twist. I had never heard of St. Basil and dismissed his name as fictitous at first, but later decided to investigate to see if there was such a person. My research yielded some interesting results. I found out there was actually someone named St. Basil by the Roman Catholics in the early years of the Church. (Basil died before 400 A.D.)
The man in the dream said Basil was “powerful.” It turned out that in reality Basil was one of only a handful of spiritual leaders in the Catholic church who were given the title “The Great.” He was a man who left his career and “quarantined” himself with others who had separated themselves in search of a deeper spirtual life. They practiced asceticism which involves strict physical discipline. St. Basil the Great was known for many benevolent deeds and significant sccomplishments, including the establishment of a hospital, homeless shelter and soup kitchen.
Basil’s name came up in the dream as a mystery key. Like Basil, I was in search of a deeper spiritual life and my desire is to be a greater blessing to humanity. I believe that is what God is doing with the true church at this time. He is preapring us to be a greater blessing to humanity after we learn what He is teaching us during this time of “quarantine.”
