Why We Must Stay Together

1 Corinthians 1:10 NKJV

Now I plead with you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

You may have noticed that when things shut down around the world last year, churches were treated harshly as non-essential entities, less necessary than liquor stores. There was a major effort to keep us apart from each other. Pastors were arrested, jailed, fined for obeying the Word of God to not forsake the assembling together. This was a tactic of Satan to make it easier to steal, kill and destroy the sheep of the Great Shepherd. We are likened to sheep in scripture. Sheep have practically no protection from predators. Therefore, for their safety, they must stay together and stay close to their shepherd. So there is an important reason for Paul’s instructions to the church about maintaining unity and harmony. The true church is built on the Word of God and we must recognize who we are and stay together, doing the things that promote unity and harmony. Also, we must stay close to the Lord who is our Shepherd.

Mysteries of the Kingdom - Is that really your business?

John 21:21-22 NKJV

Peter, seeing him, said to Jesus, “But Lord, what about this man?”

Jesus said to him, “If I will that he remain till I come, what is that to you? You follow Me.”

Last week I dreamt I was outside with someone. A few birds flew from a tree to the ground carrying a piece of foil wrap with 3 eggs in it. It appeared as though they had to move from their nest and came up with a way to move the eggs safely. As the person with me went to examine the package, I told her not to touch the eggs because it could cause the birds to abandon them. She tried to move the whole container without touching the insides but one of the eggs fell out and broke and the contents spilled out. The eggs looked like chicken eggs in size and content. Then the other eggs suffered the same fate. I don’t remember how the other 2 fell out.

There were 3 birds and 3 eggs. The eggs did not belong to those birds. The 3rd letter of the Hebrew alphabet is Gimel and has a value of 3. There are many meanings of the number 3 so we must search out the appropriate one for our situation. In this case, I will go with the the letter Gimel’s pictographic meaning of ‘ripen’, ‘nourish’ and ‘mature’. The 3 birds were intending to ripen, nourish or bring to maturity a project - the eggs - that was not theirs and was too big for them. Foil wrap represents protection. We have no natural ability to protect something that is not ours and is too big for us. The birds should have left the eggs where they found them and let happen what was going to happen. Sometimes we try to preserve something that is destined for disaster if we touch it – or whether or not we touch it. So we must leave alone what is to be left alone and tend to what we are assigned to.

The Timeless Word of God

Psalm 1:1-4 NKJV

Why do the nations rage,
And the people plot a vain thing?
The kings of the earth set themselves,
And the rulers take counsel together,
Against the Lord and against His Anointed, saying,
“Let us break Their bonds in pieces
And cast away Their cords from us.”

He who sits in the heavens shall laugh;
The Lord shall hold them in derision.

Isn’t it amazing that words written thousands of years ago continue to speak today. Sometimes I have opened the Bible and been amazed at how I selected a page that spoke to what I was dealing with at the moment. This morning, as I was prompted to go specifically to Psalm 2, I realized it could be today’s headlines. We have a globalist agenda at work in the world right now and verses 1 to 3 describe what is going on in 2021. Leaders are making plans behind closed doors to rid themselves of restrictions in our cultures. They are attempting to eliminate all godly influence that hinders them from their wicked agenda. See verse 3. There have been attempts to keep churches closed, censor what we can preach and teach and pass corrupt laws that will pressure us to accept concepts contrary to God’s Word. Verse 4 lets us know how God feels about it and verse 5 lets us know how He plans to respond. So we can laugh with Him today and cheer Him on with the words from another psalm, “Let God arise, Let His enemies be scattered.” Laugh out loud!

Let Me Have Your Attention

Jeremiah 33:3 NKJV

‘Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’

This past Sunday (3/14/21), I was sitting in church and at the end of service or immediately after, my head turned to the right. (I did not turn my head, I felt it turning as if someone else was turning it.) I knew it was significant but did not know why. I looked around on that side, pondering what was over that way. When I exited the auditorium, I followed that direction to my car, still wondering what happened. It was not until this morning (3/16/21) while on a refreshing trip at Myrtle Beach that I finally understood. I remembered the last time that happened to me many years ago, I was watching the weather report to see what the forecast was for the city I was going to be ministering in the next day. At that time, when I asked the Lord if it was Him turning my head, He told me it was and He was trying to tell me not to listen to the weather forecaster because he did not know the forecast. He proceeded to tell me the real forecast. I subsequently told my sister-in-law who was going to travel with me. Of course, the weatherman was wrong and God was right. So, now I know God was once again asking for my attention. So although I endeavor to stay in tune with God, I will give extra effort to listening to Him today for what He wants to reveal to me. I’m excited about what He will share that I don’t already know. I expect to receive from Him. In John 16:12-13, Jesus told His disciples that the Holy Spirit would share things with them that Jesus could not tell them at the time. It is the job of the Holy Spirit to receive from the Lord what He wants us to know at a given point in time. So, let’s remember to give Him our attention each day so we can receive the messages scheduled for special delivery to us. It can be through a scripture we meditate on, something we listen to or just in a quiet still moment as we sit in His presence. Selah

Separated, Yet Connected

Separated, Yet Connected

1 Peter 2:9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;

On the night of February 14, 2021, I dreamt I was watching a cowboy type movie. A woman was escaping from a group she was with and moving very quickly. I cannot remember specifically if she was riding a horse but I assume so because of the speed. She was wearing white and running or riding alongside a train track. One white train car went down the track in the same direction while this was going on. I got into the movie and began to chase her to see if I could catch up with her but could not. The scene changed to me following church members who were leaving the normal life as we know it to start a new life in a secluded area near water. They had a tent. The leader asked people to choose whether or not they were going to be a part of the new group so they could move forward. I left and one of the all female group went with me for a little bit while I talked to her about their living conditions. I explained that they needed another tent because it was too many of them for the tent they had. I told her about a foil type emergency blanket that might be helpful for keeping warm and I left thinking about what they were going to do for toilets. (All of this displayed my gift for organizing.) Below is the interpretation.

¨       The color white seen twice in close proximity is significant. The number 2 can signify verification. So the meaning of one thing will be the same as the other - the woman and the train. White represents purity, righteousness. Hence the woman in white could be the Church.

¨       The woman leaving the group could represent a separation of the church from the world.

¨       The white train car – a single car was going in the same direction. It is not normal to see a single train car moving on a track. Again, this symbolizes separation. The car was separated from the other train cars.

¨       The color represents the righteous so the theme of the woman and the car are the same.

¨       I got into the picture to try to catch up with the woman but was unsuccessful. However, I ended up following church members, all female, which shows a connection to the woman who represents the church. So, in a way, I did catch up with her.

¨       Once again we see the theme of separation. These Christian women who left the normal world considered separating themselves to be so important that they left without having worked out all the details about how they would survive. This was illustrated by the swiftness of movement of the woman and the train. The church women had to have been in a hurry to end up where they were with little preparation.

¨       Their location was near water. Water represents the Word and the Spirit. The true Church – the Remnant must separate itself regardless of the cost. The Church must set up camp and stay close to the Word and the Holy Spirit. The Spirit and the Word will guide, direct and bring success. What we do now we must do quickly. Delay is no longer acceptable. We must stop putting off separating ourselves and drawing closer to God.

Faith and Patience

Faith and Patience

Hebrews 6:12 NKJV

that you do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

Yesterday, I had a mini vision. I saw a vehicle lifted up. The things that were holding it up were covered with a foam-looking substance in the shape of mountains. It looked like something you might see in a cave. Starting at the top and going to the bottom, the colors were golden brown to beige.

I believe the structures under the vehicle could represent something that has been in the making for a long time. When we see those things in a cave, it took a while for them to form. The vehicle lifted up represents work being done. Generally, the only time you lift a vehicle high off the ground is to fix something underneath. This vision means God is working in us and for us in ways that may not be visible at the moment (under the vehicle). The cave-like structures represent time. It takes time for God to complete His work in us.  In Luke 18:8, Jesus asked if He would find faith on the earth when He comes. Hebrews 6:12 admonishes us to follow those who inherited promises through faith and patience. It did not just require faith, it required patience which means staying the same no matter what. It did not just require patience, it required faith. Living in a society that is used to fast everything – fast food, instant coffee, quick grits, etc. we have a challenge waiting and remaining consistent until we experience the results we are hoping for. If we are going to among those that Jesus finds in faith when He comes, we need to pay attention these 2 qualities - faith and patience.

About an hour has passed since I posted this. I came back to add this because I thought it was very interesting. When I open my laptop, there is a scene on the screen. It changes periodically. When I opened it just a moment ago, the scene was the inside of a cave! I thought that was interesting because I just used what’s inside a cave in my blog above. Could that be a confirmation? What do you think?
