VCC Members, have you joined a small group yet? Our small groups here at Victory are a GREAT way to help foster close relationships, maintain a tight-knit community, and stay connected with like-minded individuals within the ministry outside of weekly church services. GROWN which stands for God’s Righteous Ones Winning Now is for ages 36-49. Small groups provide relevant activities and support systems that help them stay connected, encouraged, and on fire for God while growing into who He has called them to be.
On Saturday, September 23rd, GROWN went to Stepp’s Hillcrest Orchard in Hendersonville, NC. In addition to apple picking in one of eight fairly large orchards, they enjoyed apple cannon shooting, picking sunflowers, and a good ole’ wagon ride. There was a bakery on site that had treats like apple cider donuts & pumpkin donuts, kettle popcorn, apple butter, homemade apple cider, slushies and so much more. There were 26 varieties of apples on the farm, along with pumpkins, grapes, and florals.
One special memory from the group was when they encountered the owners of the orchard. Mr. & Mrs. Stepp enjoyed serving their guests by helping them find their way around the orchard and driving them around on the wagons!
