Anglican church leaders in Africa take stand against Church of England policies
Leaders over Anglican congregations on the African continent have taken a stand against changing policies in the Church of England. Several bishops in the Anglican church released statements following a recent decision in the Church of England. The church recently announced they would allow bishops to bless same-sex civil unions and apologized for past trauma against members of the LGBT community. The vote was concerning these issues on February 9th. The archbishop of Uganda called the Church of England’s actions a depart from the Bible. He continued in his statement that the church cannot bless what God has called sin and says their churches will not walk with the Church of England until they repent. The Archbishop of Kenya called the church’s decision part of the unfortunate rise of devious liberal churchmanship within the Anglican Communion. The Archbishop of Nigeria called for the church to “sweep out the ungodly leadership currently endorsing sin and misleading faithful Anglicans worldwide.” The Church of England’s policy change is similar to more liberal policies in several other Anglican and Episcopal churches around the world including here in the US. Church of England leaders have not commented on the letters and statements from the African Anglican leaders.

Kentucky church sues to have legal fees paid over COVID violation charges
A church in Kentucky is continuing its fight against the state of Kentucky’s government. The court case between Maryville Baptist Church officials and the state of Kentucky stems from COVID restrictions dating back to 2020. Church members were fined during the beginning of lockdowns in that state after attending Resurrection Sunday services. Officials of the state claim the church was in violation for having a drive-in service allowing members to stay in attend while sitting in their cars. The state’s governor ordered police to issue tickets to those in attendance. Attorneys for the church say this action by the state was illegal due to Kentucky’s state congress passing a law limiting the governor’s power over houses of worship. The church wants all legal fees and fines acquired from the last three years to be paid by the state government. The church has won its appeals, but the request for legal fees and other expenses is has so far been denied. The state governor continues to defend his actions saying the restrictions were due to a national health emergency.

Revival at Christian college continues and spreads to other college communities
A revival that swept across a small university in Kentucky is continuing after almost a month. According to reports the praise service began following a normal mid-week service at Asbury University and has continued. The prayers for revival in the US have continued on campus since February 8th. Attendance has grown following students posting about the event on social media. The swell in attendees resulted in campus officials opening several buildings on campus to accommodate visitors. The attendees arriving to the college have hailed from the community of Wilmore, Kentucky where Asbury University is located, different colleges, states, and countries. The college has now officially moved the prayer service off campus after reporting the numbers of attendees coming to the city reaching as high as 50 thousand people. The best part about the students’ prayers for revival in the US; it’s now spreading to other colleges. Officials at four other Christian colleges Lee University, Samford University, Eastern Kentucky University, and Oklahoma Baptist University, are reporting similar events led by students on their campuses. In addition to these colleges there are reportedly three more colleges where officials are reporting students praying for an outpouring of God’s Spirit on their campuses. This brings the total so far to eight colleges and universities involved in student led prayers for revival in our nation.

Organic is always best when shopping for a supplement. The FDA still requires certain standards in order for products to be considered organic. Read the nutritional label and check for the amount of fish oil per capsule. When looking at the label look for product’s purity level and its authenticity which are ways to check for high quality supplements. The shelf life of the supplement may also be a clue. Keep in mind it is a perishable food item due to being derived from fish. This may help when you are looking for a more pure fish oil supplement.
