Trump welcomes Netanyahu in first official visit for Israel leader in second Trump term
President Trump has already welcomed one of the nation’s strongest allies to the White House, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Israel’s leader met with the president this week barely one month into Trump’s second term. The president announced a landmark idea suggesting that the U.S. would take over military jurisdiction in the Gaza Strip. The announcement sent shockwaves throughout the opposition in the Middle East. A spokesman for Hamas called the announcement, a racist stance that will displace the Palestinian people. Supporters believe the move would finally help secure the area and rid the region of terrorist factions. Supporters believe the announcement is also simply a tactic to get all sides to start negations again. President Trump says the U.S. wants to build infrastructure, create jobs, and dismantle dangerous explosives in the region. The move according to Trump will finally give Gaza the chance to truly change for the better.

Bible verse removed after complaint from atheist org.
Christians and conservatives are protesting following the removal of a Bible verse. According to reports, the Isabella County Criminal Justice Center removed a scripture following a complaint. The scripture Matthew 5:9 was displayed at the entrance of the new facility. The scripture was removed after a complaint from an atheist organization. The group claimed, through an attorney that the scripture was a violation of the separation of church and state. The attorney added the quote was explicitly Christian, which was cause for the group’s offense. Sheriff Michael Main says the scripture was simply displayed to honor first responders and law enforcement, not promoting religion. The atheist group is also opposing a bill in Texas that would reward inmates for reading the Bible as well as other faith practices.
