Charlie Kirk: heartfelt tributes from conservatives for slain conservative activist/Christian influencer
Tributes continue around the world for the late Charlie Kirk. The 31-year-old conservative activist was killed in Utah last week. The assassination occurred during one of Kirk’s famous debate sessions with college students at Utah Valley University. Kirk was shot and killed by Tyler Robinson a 22-year-old resident of Utah, was arrested about two days after the shooting occurred. Authorities are still sorting out a motive, but according to Federal authorities Robinson is not cooperating with federal agents. According to information they continue to gather, Robinson was a lone wolf described as quiet but friendly. The shooter was also in a romantic relationship with his roommate, who was a male living as a female. Investigators believe this relationship and his radical beliefs found in chat rooms online was part of his hatred for Charlie Kirk. All of the people in Robinson’s inner circle are cooperating with authorities. Those who supported Kirk gathered around the world in various demonstrations to honor the fallen activists. Turning point USA has reported a sharp rise in requests to start a chapter at various schools around the U.S. Supporters have urged people to take up the mantle not only for conservative views, but to reach out to people and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This was one of the biggest agendas; Charlie Kirk used his platform continuously to lead young people to have a relationship with God. A memorial service was held Sunday September 21st at State Farm Stadium Arizona. Charlie James Kirk is survived by his wife, two children, one sibling and his parents.
Court rules for Trump Administration vs. Planned Parenthood
A federal court has ruled in favor of the Trump administration concerning defunding Planned Parenthood. The justice in the case has ruled the Trump administration can block Planned Parenthood from receiving funding from Medicaid. The funding according to the administration should not be used by groups that fund abortions. The courts agreed ruling in favor allowing the case to go to the next stage in the court system. Supporters of Planned Parenthood claim the organization is being targeted because of its “healthcare procedures.” They also proclaimed Planned Parenthood does more than abortions. The controversial organization has received millions in government funding. President Trump vowed once re-elected that he would cut funding to the group, a promised he has kept. The organization has taken legal action to keep its funding from being cut.
Israel resists latest U.N. pro- Palestine push
Israel is continuing to resist a push from the UN to create a Palestinian state. Israel however has other plans. According to reports support is growing for that nation to claim sovereignty over the area in its entirety. Israel is continuing to fight against terrorist groups in the region. The ongoing battle stemmed from the October 7th attacks and continued resistance to negotiate. Israel has also stood its ground concerning pressure from around the world to give Palestine land and stop defensive attacks in Gaza. Israeli officials say they will not stop until these terrorists’ groups are destroyed. Israel has also launched a several offensives into other areas in the region in response to terrorists’ attacks. The IDF recently launched a ground assault into Gaza Strip. The UN has condemned the attacks, with on UN commission calling the assault genocide.
SNBC Health report: a warning from public schools about the danger of extended cellphone use
Public schools’ officials are now pushing for high school and middle school students to turn off their cellphone and work on social skills. According to a recent poll Americans believe students will improve socially, in their grades and behavior by turning off their cellphones. According to the Parents Television and Media Council, several state have already banned, or restricted cellphone use in public schools. Cellphones can cause irritation to the eyes after long-term use. Issues associated with long term use are blamed for cubital tunnel syndrome, and arthritis. Prolonged cellphone use can also disrupt your sleep cycle and cause strain on the neck. Doctors advise turning off electronic devices, especially when preparing for bed and putting down your phone for extended periods of time.
