UNITE US reveals numbers for big soul winning event
UNITE US is announcing another amazing harvest for the kingdom of God! Nearly 7,000 young people filled a campus auditorium at the University of South Florida in Tampa for a night to hear the Gospel of Jesus. The evening was filled with worship and the message of the Gospel. The night ended with an altar call; a thousand people responded to accept Jesus as their personal Savior. The altar call was later followed by 300 who participated in a water baptism event. UNITE US is a campus ministry that started outreach events in 2023. Since then, thousands of students have heard the Gospel through the organization and have accepted Christ. College soul winning events have been sparking revival on university campuses nationwide since the Asbury University Revival in 2023.
President Trump / Prime Minister of Israel present united front at UN
President Trump and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu presented a united front recently at the United Nations. President Trump chastised world leaders attending the meeting for pressuring Israel to annex land set aside by Israel to establish Palestine as a nation. According to reports, members of Prime Minister Netanyahu’s administration had been in talks to possibly annex parts of Judea and Samaria. President Trump has remained firm in his position, saying bluntly during his speech to the group, “Nope, I will not allow it. It's not going to happen.” The President further added that declaring Palestine a nation would be like giving terrorist groups like Hamas a prize for their actions. President Trump is demanding the return of all remaining hostages and a true agreement for peace in the region. Prime Minister Netanyahu launched a campaign in New York to remind leaders of the atrocities committed on October 7th. Referred to as “Remember October 7th”, the advertisements were released prior to Netanyahu’s speech to the U.N.
Texas State government passes more protections for women
The Texas state government has passed a bill to restrict use of restrooms and locker rooms in government owned buildings. The new law known as the Texas Women’s Privacy Act, or SB8, will require everyone using a restroom or locker room to use the bathroom associated with their biological gender. The bill also directs the Texas Department of Criminal Justice to house inmates according to biological sex and limits access to women’s domestic violence shelters to biological females and their children under 17. Texas Representative Angelica Orr, who sponsored the bill says, “when it comes to dignity, privacy and safety of Texas women and girls, there is no compromise. This is non-negotiable.” Opponents says the bill is unnecessary and makes the transgender community targets for harassment. The law takes effect on December 4th. Texas is the seventh state to pass a similar law, following Arkansas, Florida, Montana, South Dakota, Utah, and Wyoming.
SNBC Health report: 10 Strategies for a Life with Less Stress and Anxiety
Stress can affect us all, from quiet worries to major setbacks. It can slowly cause burnout and can even contribute to chronic disease.
The following tools provide a foundation to combat stress and anxiety and build lasting resilience.
1. My number one is casting our cares on the Lord. I Peter 5:7 (AMPC) says, “Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully.” When we give God a chance to take care of our concerns, He will handle them completely and wonderfully.
2. Eat nourishing, nutrient-dense foods, emphasizing proteins, colorful vegetables including leafy greens, low carbohydrates and healthy fats.
3. Prioritize Sleep Quality – As food is the foundation of building resilience to cope with stress, sleep is the repair system.
4. Keep Daily Routines You Enjoy - Routine isn’t monotony—it is medicine for the nervous system.
5. Move to Elevate Your Mood
Movement is one of the fastest ways to shift mood and balance the chemistry of stress.
6. Practice and Embody Gratitude - We know that praise stills the enemy and keeps our focus on the One who can handle every situation. Also, gratitude is a neurobiological practice that reshapes the brain.
7. Add Mindful Pauses - Taking mindful breaks helps with our daily decision-making and self-control.
8. Tune Into Positivity Daily – The best and highest positivity we can tune into on a daily basis is the Word of God and uplifting praise music.
9. Connect With Like-Minded believers you can walk with and agree with…and those who will listen but always encourage you in the Word.
10. Seek godly counsel, when necessary, realizing that trusted confidants in our lives can help us see things in a broader perspective.
