Monday, May 2, 2022 I heard a loud bird sound while in my room. It sounded like it was in the room so I assumed it was near the window. I went to the window and found a tiny bird right outside the window. (The picture that you see with this blog is the actual picture of the bird that visited me.) I began to talk to the bird. I asked if it had a message for me. I said some humorous things like, “Did you bring a sandwich?” and “Do you speak English?” I made some bird sounds. All the while I was amazed that the bird was not afraid of me and kept staring at me, blinking its eyes sometimes. I went for my phone and came back and took a picture. The picture did not come out clear because of the window screen. I went outside and took a close-up shot. I was amazed that the bird allowed me to get close and take the picture. It was facing the other direction when I was inside the house and it turned its body around to continue staring at me when I came outside to take the picture. It continued to stare at me. I wondered if it was injured and could not move. Not long after that, someone came by and I took them over to see the bird who was still in the same place. As we began to examine it and wonder why it was not moving, it flew away. It was amazing! The bird got my attention with a loud sound but never said anything else after that. It just stared at me. Later I realized it was bringing a message I had to search out. I decided to see what the Bible said about birds. The thing that stood out to me before I opened the Bible was that Jesus used them to teach us not to worry. Matthew 6:26 NKJV says, “Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?”

Proverbs and Ecclesiastes talked about birds when warning about traps. Ecclesiastes uses the bird to refer to words intended to be private getting out.

I especially paid attention to Luke 12:4-7 that talks about sparrows which are small birds because the bird that came to me was very small. Luke 12:4-7 NKJV says, “And I say to you, My friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear Him who, after He has killed, has power to cast into hell; yes, I say to you, fear Him! “Are not five sparrows sold for two copper coins? And not one of them is forgotten before God. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.” So I knew one message was to have no fear of man when I am on God’s mission.

In the days following this unusual event, I had experiences that related to all of these scriptures. Checking the scriptures when you have an unusual experience like this is one way to discover mysteries the Lord has hidden for you. Remember that our Father does not hide things from us but He hides them for us. Its up to us to seek and find what He wants us to learn.
