Day 222

Psalm 94:11

"For the Lord will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance."

God is always faithful. It is utterly amazing to see how He stands by His people, regardless of what they do. The psalmist said He will not cast off or forsake His people. The people of God had to suffer for their evil ways, but He always made a way for them to return home. When we bum every bridge and disconnect all communication, He still keeps the bridge open, the communication lines operating, and even leaves the light on to help the wanderers find their way home. Furthermore, He continues to remind us that we are welcome to return.

Meditating on God's mercy and faithfulness should make us show our appreciation for Him more. It should motivate us to eliminate murmuring and complaining and express more gratitude. It should also make us more patient with others, when we see how patient He is with us.

The goodness and loving kindness of God should encourage us to never give up. As long as God does not say, "I have totally given up on you," we ought to get up and go for it. There is no reason to quit when He is still pulling for us.

Let us look up, get up, and go up, from glory to glory. The Lord will never forsake us.

I will show more appreciation to the Lord for His goodness. I will be more patient with others. I  will  be encouraged to press on toward the goal set before me.
