The Shunamite woman had received a miracle. She'd been unable to have children, but the man of God had given her a Word. He told the woman that she would conceive and about a year later, she had a son. After some time had passed, her son died after working with his father in the field. On multiple occasions she had the opportunity to talk about her circumstances and to talk negatively. However, instead of doing that, she continued to say, “It is well”. She must have had some understanding of the power of words because she never said that her son died. She simply went back to the man of God. Eventually her son was raised from the dead by Elisha. When we find ourselves in desperate situations, we must discipline our tongues because “death and life is in the power of the tongue” (Proverbs 18:21). We must call those things that be as though they were until they are. The words of the Shunammite woman played a significant role in her receiving her miracle. Your words will do the same. So, watch your words and ask God to put a watch over your mouth (Psalm 141:3). Your words will frame your world.
