📖 “Thus says the LORD, "Let not the one who is wise and skillful boast in his insight; let not the one who is mighty and powerful boast in his strength; let not the one who is rich boast in his [temporal satisfactions and earthly] abundance; but let the one who boasts boast in this, that he understands and knows Me [and acknowledges Me and honors Me as God and recognizes without any doubt], that I am the LORD who practices lovingkindness, justice and righteousness on the earth, for in these things I delight," says the LORD." -Jeremiah 9:23-24 AMP
No matter how smart we are, we cannot boast about it. No matter how strong we are, we can't brag about it. Everything that we have, that is good, came from God. God is the Source of everything good. The thing that we should take pride in is having a relationship with the Creator of heaven and earth. We should boast in our God. Jesus told the people that if they being evil, knew how to give good gifts, how much more our Heavenly Father? If we delight in taking care of our children, how much more do you think our Heavenly Father gains pleasure from it. We can boast in our God because He is the faithful God, the God who keeps covenant to a thousand generations. If we are going to brag about who we know, let's brag about being in relationship with Almighty God.
