It is the desire of most believers to live a blessed life. We see in this text a secret to living a blessed life. We must love God with all our heart, soul, mind, and we must love our neighbor as ourselves. The Bible tells us that God is love (I John 4:8). We must love humanity with the same love that God gives toward us. We are capable of walking in that type of love because the Bible tells us that the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost (Romans 5:5). As we love our neighbor, it will cause compassion to rise within us and to become a giver, the way our heavenly Father is. As we confer blessings upon others, we in turn put the law of giving and receiving in place; and we place ourselves in a position to receive from God. Staying in the love walk is the best way to live. It keeps you in the faith walk, and it causes people to identify you as a Christian, a Christ like one.
