Peter was experiencing a miracle. He had acted on the words of Jesus. Jesus was standing on the water and just told him to, “Come”. He had received an invitation to experience the same miracle that Jesus was experiencing. Initially, he was walking on the water, but then he lost his focus. He took his eyes off Jesus and placed his eyes on the storm. He started to sink when he lost his focus. The same thing could happen to any believer. We always have a choice to focus on either the Word or the storms of our lives. When we keep our eyes on the Word, the Word will calm the storm. The Word will change our circumstances. If we keep our eyes on the storm, the storm will stay the same. Let’s keep our eyes on the answer, not the problem. The Word is always our answer, it always will be, yesterday, today, and forever.
