God called Moses to deliver His people from the bondage of slavery. Moses had acted in his flesh and killed an Egyptian, forty years prior; and now he was in the wilderness and God was dealing with him to come back to Egypt and deliver His people. Moses was telling God a list of his shortcomings, as if God didn’t know what his shortcomings were. Isn’t that like so many of us? When God begins to share with us His plans and purpose for our lives, we start to think of our shortcomings. We sometimes have a tendency to think of people who are smarter, who have more outgoing personalities, are better looking, better communicators--we think of all kinds of wrong thoughts. We must understand that God understands everything about us. He doesn’t call the qualified, he qualifies those He has called. We must humble ourselves and understand that true humility is agreeing with God and what He thinks of us. God has called you for a reason, and if He thinks you're the person for the job, you must be. God sees what we don’t, and He knows the potential that He has placed on the inside of us. Let's agree with God today and understand that we aren’t carrying out His plans in our own strength, we are simply the vessels that He is using. Without Him, we are nothing.
