Everyone has been on a job that they weren’t too fond of. Some have even been mistreated while working for other people. Jacob had been mistreated by Laban for many years. Laban deceived him when he thought he was marrying Rachel. He ended up marrying her sister, and Jacob had to work seven more years. Jacob was not treated well by Laban, and yet God still prospered Jacob. Jacob still worked hard for Laban. At the end of the day, God was responsible for the prosperity that Jacob enjoyed. We must also understand that we don’t work as unto a man, we work as unto the Lord. We understand that God will prosper the works of our hands and that God will promote us in time. We must be like Daniel and have an excellent spirit when we are working. Working as unto the Lord helps us to keep our hearts clean toward our superiors, and it keeps our eyes on God. As believers, we must know who our Source is, and we must focus on representing Him. Everything else will work itself out in time. Let's adjust our focus. Let's keep our eyes on God. Every good gift and every perfect gift comes from Him.
