Caleb, along with Joshua, was one of the few that came into the Promised Land from the original adult generation. Despite wandering in the Promised Land for forty-five years, Caleb still held on to what God had promised him. Many Christians give up hope if it appears to be taking too long for what they've prayed for. Many are moved by time and sometimes, we as believers have an expectation of how long it should take to realize the fulfillment of an answered prayer. Caleb waited forty-five years, and it appears that he was willing to wait even longer, if necessary, to receive what God had promised him. The Bible tells us that Caleb wholly followed the Lord. When you wholly follow the Lord, you know that it is just a matter of time before the promise becomes a reality. You know that it is an impossibility for God to lie. What a great role model Caleb is to the Body of Christ. Having done all to stand, he stood until he attained what was promised to him. We must do the same. Regardless of how long we might have to wait, we are going to wait until our change comes.
