📖 Then said I, Woe is me! For I am undone and ruined, because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; for my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts! Then flew one of the seraphim [heavenly beings] to me, having a live coal in his hand which he had taken with tongs from off the altar; And with it he touched my mouth and said, Behold, this has touched your lips; your iniquity and guilt are taken away, and your sin is completely atoned for and forgiven. -Isaiah 6:5-7 Amplified Bible Classic Edition
Isaiah claimed to be a man of unclean lips who dwelt among a people with unclean lips. God did something about it. He touched His lips. He dealt with his words. What would set Isaiah apart and what would cause him to be used by God was a change in his words. God dealt with Isaiah’s mouth, and He wants us to deal with our mouths as well. We dwell among people of unclean lips, but we don’t have to talk like them. We don’t have to talk doubt and unbelief. We don’t have to talk about sickness and disease like the world does. We don’t have to be people of unclean lips. God gave us His Word to purify our words and to begin to talk like He does. God wants to use us, and He wants us to be His examples in the earth. It starts with us getting born again, and then we must purify our lips. We must begin to talk the way that God does. When we do, we will also live the way He lives. We can expect to live a life of victory.
