DAILY DEVOTIONAL | December 11th

"For everyone born of God is victorious and overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has conquered and overcome the world—our [continuing, persistent] faith [in Jesus the Son of God]." -1 John 5:4 AMP

Christianity is often compared to battle or combat. Perhaps that’s because spiritual warfare has so many similarities to physical warfare. Furthermore, Jesus alluded to this by referencing our “overcoming” the world (John 16:33). If you have been born again, then through your faith in God and Jesus's victory on the cross, you’ve overcome this world! Just be sure to take a minute to reflect in the mirror of the Word to ensure that you are dressed for battle this morning with your spiritual armor: breastplate of righteousness, belt of truth, shield of faith, helmet of salvation, etc. (Ephesians 6:10-18). And as it says in Ephesians 6:18, pray in tongues throughout the day and be alert - we’re at war! But there’s no need to fear or be anxious: God is with you and you have already overcome every challenge that may come your way - known or unknown. We have the victory!

DAILY DEVOTIONAL | December 10th

"Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters: You must all be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry. Human anger does not produce the righteousness God desires." - James 1:19-20NLT

Slow to speak...quick to hear. It's so much easier said than done sometimes right? Well God wants to lead your life, and one of the ways we allow Him to do just that is to entrust our mind and emotions do Him as well by letting Him take the lead. Our emotions or even pride sometimes can influence us to speak when we should be listening and to miss out on key information because we think we've got the situation all figured out in our minds. Practice praying in tongues today and making a conscious effort to follow this command. It will curate the opportunity for God to speak wisdom to your spirit in different areas before you open your mouth. It may also save you embarrassment, time and resources. DAILY DEVOTIONAL | December 9th

When we follow the commands of Christ, we better position ourselves to be under His covering. We have God’s promise for protection, and that He’ll answer us and be with us and deliver us in the midst of circumstance if we ‘love’ Him; and how do we express our love to God? We do it by following His commands (John 14:23). God loves us unconditionally and desires only the best for us, but let’s do introspection on our lives and ask God to show us whether we have been obedient with the last set of instructions He has given us and make any adjustments that are needed as a result. It’s incredible that we serve such a faithful God and that we can find comfort in His protection (spiritually, physically, emotionally, etc.) and all the other benefits of our relationship with Him. Selah.

📖“The Lord gives his people strength. The Lord blesses them with peace.” -Psalm 29:11 NLT

🤔 Need strength this morning? Woke up feeling anxious or worried? Well, there’s no need to stay that way. Cast all your cares on God: He is more than capable of handling them! God freely gives His children joy and in that joy they find the strength to face any situation. On top of that, peace is another one of the benefits of being in the family of God (Isaiah 26:3, John 14:27), so be encouraged and take advantage of what He willingly has made available to you. Walk in His peace today and trust that He will give you strength every step of the way. He is all you need. Have a blessed Saturday!

Jesus is unchanging. He has all power today, just like He did over 2,000 years ago. He loves you unconditionally today just as much as He did when He thought of you over 2,000 years ago. He is unmoved, unbothered and unstressed by the circumstances of your life today no more than He was last week or the last time that He brought you out. His promises are still “yes and amen” (2 Corinthians 1:20) and if He said it, that settles it (Numbers 23:19). Pray in the Holy Spirit throughout the day and seek God’s direction for your life and for specific instructions from Him for the day. Once you receive them, trust Him and obey. God’s got you, and He will never let you down!

Never forget that your words have POWER! Make a conscious effort today to speak life and not death over yourself, your family, friends and loved ones. Let your first words today be ones of thanksgiving to God for the gift of life this morning (1 Chronicles 16:34); but make sure that before you think about the current circumstances of your life - good or bad, you examine what you say, if you should say anything at all. Ask God to guard the door of your mouth (Psalm 141:3). You are a child of the Most High God and redeemed from the curse of the law. speak to your situation and confess positive things over your life. Think on good things (Philippians 4:8), then speak life to your circumstance. Remember: your words frame your world! Have a blessed day.

Tap into your Power Source today. You can do that by praying in tongues and also by not losing sight of the fact that God will supply you with any and everything that you need to accomplish His purpose: internal or external strength, peace, wisdom and more! Leave any burdens you may have with God, He handle them; just never forget that your sufficiency doesn’t lie in your intellect, your connections or your bank account. You have all that you need in Christ alone.

Are you honoring God with the portion He has entrusted you with? Be content with the season and things that you have been given and trust and believe, God will honor His Word and you with an even greater portion. Be patient and trust God to reveal what you can learn in and from the season you’re in. He is a good God and is faithful to His promises. Hallelujah!

Don’t forget to tap into those resources by praying in the Holy Spirit daily. We don’t have to waste time, money, walk around confused or sacrifice relationships due to bad decision making. DAILY DEVOTIONAL | December 2nd

“Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” -Ephesians 4:32 NIV

Though it’s not always easy, the Word of God encourages us to show kindness to one another whether in or out of the body of Christ. His love for us was/is so pure and true, that He gave us His all when He sacrificed His Son Jesus. despite the lack of His lack of sin nature, His holiness and our lack of worthiness for salvation, He deemed us worth saving and forgiving us of our sin. With all the love He has shown us, the unmerited favor extended to us, we’re honestly not qualified to decide who is worthy of our forgiveness. If we are truly our disciples and truly love Him, then we will simply obey His commands (John 14:15). Make a conscious effort today to show kindness and compassion to someone today. Not only does “love” truly reflect the heart of Christ and represent Him, but there is freedom in forgiveness and whom the Son sets free is free indeed (John 8:36)!

We don’t have to be manipulated by the enemy or by any inaccurate doctrine of the Bible that we may find ourselves presented with. God gives us discernment and with the direction also of the Holy Spirit, our feet can remain firmly planted on Him - the Rock (Psalm 62:2). In fact our daily conversations and lifestyle should reflect this maturation as we make strides daily to mimic Christ. His loving correction is given "in love". He will guide us every step of the way. Once we receive the gift of salvation and the infilling of the Holy Spirit, He (the Holy Spirit) is able to reveal to our spirit what He has knowledge of. Why spend time stressing over not knowing what to do? Why be concerned over not having the the information or direction that you need? The Holy Spirit is your internal compass, and He desires to give you direction and to lead your life. Pray in tongues and stir up the gifts regularly and trust God that your sensitivity to your spirit man and to the Holy Spirit, as a whole, will be heightened. Walking in the spirit is a lifestyle. So don’t take it lightly and ENJOY it!

We can run to God for protection both in the physical and spiritual realm. A shield is strong and impenetrable just like our Father. 📖🙏🏼 Outside of your verbalizing it, would someone be able to identify you as a child of God? The agape love of God is one of the most distinguishing factors between Christianity and other religions. God’s love was so pure and strong towards us, He gave up His prized possession - His only begotten Son Jesus - for us. As believers, we should be sharing our faith, but others should be able to recognize 'Whose' you are by your love walk. Do you really know your “Father” God? Jesus tells us that if we do not love others, we don’t truly know Him because God IS love. He said that our love for one another will actually show the world that we are indeed God's children.

We have the privilege of being in the family of God, but be sure that you are constantly doing introspection to ensure that what is closest to your Father’s heart is close to yours. The salvation of the lost man or woman is closest to God's heart, so that should be what is closest to ours. He doesn’t judge others but looks on them compassionately and desires for them to be free from any strongholds in their lives, so we should truly desire that for others too. Rest in His love for you but also pray for the desire for your heart to mirror His. If surgery is needed so that this can be true, God is more than able and willing to perform that as well…just ask Him. He loves you, wants the best for you and we should desire to please Him in all that we do, say and even think in our hearts. As you prefer to prepare to “enter in” this morning, be sure to open up your mouth and offer up a genuine thanks to Him for mercy and kindness to you. We’ve been offered the greatest gift (our salvation) through God’s Son and His faithfulness to us is unending!Exalt Him and bless His name for His love and patience with you every step of the way. Gratitude should be a heart state that is consistent because of God’s continuous demonstration of love towards us (Lamentations 3:23); there’s no room for selfishness, ungratefulness and a lack of patience with others when our hearts are constantly reflecting on all He has done for us. If need be, ask Him to give you a new heart (Psalm 51:10). Rest in HIs love for you today and be sure to take the time to express to Him how grateful you are for it!

Good morning and HAPPY SATURDAY to you. As you wake up today, be sure to reflect on the mercy of God that He clearly demonstrated through the sacrifice of His Son Jesus. It’s nothing that we did in and of ourselves, but through our salvation in Jesus, we have been justified in God’s eyes. Not only do we have the gift of eternal life, but we have the benefit of having an actual relationship with Him and the privilege of receiving direction and comfort through the Holy Spirit on a daily basis. Don’t take the “perks” of that relationship for granted. God’s love for you is profound (John 15:13), and He desires for you to live victoriously in life. Just trust Him for direction and favor and be sure to give Him the glory every step of the way.

We are His responsibility, and there is no detail to small or insignificant to Him. He has a unique purpose for your life and just like the prophet Jeremiah (Jeremiah 1:5), He desires to set you apart for His use. Don’t waste any more time worrying about the affairs of your life; God’s got you and He’s sent the Holy Spirit - your Helper (John 14:26) - to help guide you every step of the way. Rest in Him and in His love for you; listen to your spirit man and trust His guidance in the affairs of your life.

Thanksgiving is defined as: a public acknowledgment or celebration of divine goodness; the act of giving thanks; a prayer expressing gratitude (Merriam Dictionary). Thanksgiving is an action; it’s recognizing the many reasons we have to be grateful. For the believer, it should be a daily mindset. We have so much to be grateful for: love, joy, peace, favor and more importantly, we have the promise of eternal salvation. If nothing else, you have a reason to be eternally grateful and to show God by honoring, sharing His love and properly representing Him everyday. We love you and thank God for you today.
