Isaiah 43:4 NKJV
Since you were precious in My sight, You have been honored, And I have loved you; Therefore I will give men for you, And people for your life.
The Lord expresses strong love for His covenant people. He told them that He would intervene if people tried to harm them. If it came down to it, He would get rid of their enemies to protect them. God does not want to hurt anyone but He will do what He has to, to take care of His children. That is why the psalmist said in Psalm 118:6, “The Lord is on my side. I will not fear. What can man do to me?” We can rest in the love of God who watches over us.
