Psalm 59:16 NKJV
But I will sing aloud of Your power. Yes, I will sing aloud of Your mercy in the morning; for You have been my defense and refuge in the day of my trouble.
Lamentations 3:22-23 NKJV
Through the Lord's mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. The are new every morning. Great is Your faithfulness.
The psalmist David said he would sing aloud of God's mercy. That reminds me of a song taken from Lamentations 3:22-23. It says,
"The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases
His mercies never come to an end
They are new every morning, new every morning
Great is thy faithfulness, O Lord
Great is thy faithfulness."
I will remember David when I sing this song again, and sing it with energy. David wrote this psalm when Saul sent men to lie in wait to kill David. Considering that his life was in jeopardy and God sustained him, it is no wonder he wanted to sing aloud - not just quietly to himself, but in a tone of celebration for God's mercy.
