Isaiah 55:7 NKJV
Let the wicked forsake his way and the unrighteous man his thoughts. Let him return to the Lord and he will have mercy on him, and to our God for He will abundantly pardon.
Let's be clear about God's attitude toward the wicked and unrighteous. He has no interest in seeing their destruction. He hopes for an opportunity to save them. God said through the prophet Isaiah that He would have mercy on the wicked and unrighteous when they choose to repent. As imitators of God, let us have the same attitude. When we see a wicked or unrighteous person, let us pray for them and reach out to them with God's love if the opportunity presents itself. Let us also keep this in mind if we ever fail to do what is right. God does not want to destroy us. He wants to forgive and restore us. So we should run to Him and not from Him. His mercy endures forever.
