2 Chronicles 15:8 NKJV
And when Asa heard these words and the prophecy of Oded the prophet, he took courage, and removed the abominable idols from all the land of Judah and Benjamin and from the cities which he had taken in the mountains of Ephraim; and he restored the altar of the Lord that was before the vestibule of the Lord.
We can get excited about how God wants to restore things to us. How about we show God our appreciation to Him by restoring to God what was taken from Him? In the story recorded in 2 Chronicles 15, King Asa removed the idol worship symbols and objects and restored the altar of the Lord that had been removed. Can we see something relative to the things of God in the church or in our homes that has been removed or destroyed? Let us restore in honor of the Lord. How about in our spiritual lives? Is there something we used to do in our relationship with God that we have allowed to be dismissed from our activities? Is it something that meant something to God that He would appreciate? Restore it. Let us do to God as we would have Him do to us. We want restoration. Let us give God restoration where it in our power to do so.
