Isaiah 58:12 NKJV
Those from among you shall build the old waste places. You shall raise up the foundations of many generations, and you shall be called the Repairer of the Breach, The Restorer of Streets to Dwell In.
This verse in Isaiah 58 speaks of restoration of things in a land, in a society. We must be aware that God does not want us to accept the breakdown of our towns and communities. We may not be in a position to totally change things but if we see things being broken down let us see if there is something whether big or small that we can do to bring restoration. Perhaps we can speak a positive word into the life of a child who may not have a lot of guidance. We can invite someone who does not go to church to attend a service with us. We can give clothes or food to someone in need. All of us can do something. Let us ask God to show us each day what we can do to be a part of restoration so we can make the world we live in a better place.
