Ezra 6:5 NKJV

Also let the gold and silver articles of the house of God, which Nebuchadnezzar took from the temple which is in Jerusalem and brought to Babylon, be restored and taken back to the temple which is in Jerusalem, each to its place; and deposit them in the house of God”—

Sometimes we have things that were used for the glory of God and that are now used otherwise. In this account we read of King Cyrus ordering the restoration of articles of worship to the temple in Jerusalem. These items were taken away by Nebuchadnezzar and brought to Babylon. Do we have things that once glorified God that are now being used for the wrong reasons? Did we for instance once dedicate our homes to God and now we allow anything and everything to come in or go on there without regards to whether or not it pleases God? Is there a child that we dedicated to God and now we are allowing him to participate in things that God is not pleased with because of some perceived benefit? If there is anything or anyone we have that once was dedicated to God’s glory being used in the wrong way or not being used at all, let us restore to God what was dedicated to Him.
