Isaiah 56:7 NKJV

Even them I will bring to My holy mountain, And make them joyful in My house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and their sacrifices will be accepted on My altar; For My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations.”

God delights in communicating with people. So much so that He called the house dedicated to Him a house of prayer. He said He would make those who come to His house of prayer joyful. The prophet recorded God as saying the invitation to the house of the Lord was not limited to the nation of Israel. His house was to be called a house of prayer for all people. Israel was not separated to keep God to themselves. As this passage reveals, they were to serve God is a manner that would attract Gentiles. It’s the same for the church. We are not to become Christians and consider it a personal thing that we keep to ourselves. We are the light of the world and the salt of the earth and should be a means of others who do not know God coming to know Him. We should be praying to God and increasing the numbers of those who pray to Him by attracting unbelievers. Isn't it sad that when we count the numbers of Christians who gather for various events the smallest group has been the groups that gathers for prayer? God delights in our prayers and will make us joyful as we gather together for the purpose of prayer.
