Romans 5:1 NKJV
Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
We have been granted peace with God as a result of our entering a covenant relationship with Him through Jesus Christ. When we were justified by Jesus' blood, we were no longer enemies of God. We have a peace treaty. We met the conditions of peace and now we are on the Lord's side. That's great! When we think of how powerful God is in terms of resources, wisdom, might and more, it is better than good that we are now allies. Let us celebrate the fact that we have peace with God and let that settle our minds and encourage our hearts. There is nothing we are facing that God cannot or will not handle for us if we cooperate with Him. A psalmist said, "The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me?" (Psalm 118:6) That should be our attitude about every challenge we face. Thank God we have peace with Him!
