I have been extremely busy and haven't posted for 10 days. If you are still checking, thanks for visiting "The Throne Room" blog. I plan to be back tomorrow since I may be out of reach for several days. Peace to you.
James 3:17-18 NKJV
But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy. Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.
James had just explained what earthly, sensual and demonic wisdom produces - bitter envy and self-centeredness. He contrasted that type of wisdom with God's wisdom. A part of the description of the wisdom from above is it is peaceable. He said that the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace. As we make decisions, particularly when our emotions are pushing us, we need to ask ourselves if the decision we are about to make is going to lead to a peaceful end. If not, we need to reconsider and make sure we are being led by the Holy Spirit before we proceed.
