Luke 8:45-46 NKJV

And Jesus said, "Who touched Me?" When all denied it, Peter and those with him said, "Master, the multitudes throng and press You, and You say, 'Who touched Me?" But Jesus said, "Somebody touched Me, for I perceived power going out from Me."

Jesus was walking amidst a large number of people and many of them touched Him physically as He traveled with His disciples. So, when He mentioned that someone touched Him, His disciples pointed out the absurdity of the statement and reminded Jesus that people were touching Him all along the way. However, all the touches before this point were either accidental or the result of people perhaps looking for the thrill of being able to say they touched a famous rabbi - the one who had become known for doing miracles. But there was a woman in the crowd who was not interested in a thrill. She wanted to tap into the unseen realm and contact an unseen power that was capable of curing her disease supernaturally. The power she was healed by was moving down the street and no one was benefiting from it. How many people go to a place where the unseen power of God is available for miracles but never access it because their focus is on natural things the whole time? We must be cognizant of the power in our midst and practice expecting, reaching out and pressing through for miracles. In order to do that we have to be like the woman in the story and focus on the unseen realm, and ignore everyone who is just taking up space and getting nothing. We walk by faith.
