The Unseen Realm Part 18

Matthew 22:31-32 NKJV

But concerning the resurrection of the dead, have you not read what was spoken to you by God, saying, ‘I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.”

Paul told us to comfort one another when loved ones who lived for Christ depart this earth, knowing that our parting is only temporary. Jesus responded to those who did not believe in the resurrection of the dead by saying that God calls Himself the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. He pointed out that God is not God of dead people but living persons. Therefore, although Abraham, Isaac and Jacob had left the earth they were still alive somewhere. The more we understand the reality of the unseen realm the easier it will be to release our saved loved ones to the Lord until we see them again. It does not mean we will not miss them. It means we will not hold on to them and allow grief to take over our lives and destroy us. If we are not sure where someone went, we must still let them go seeing that we cannot bring them back. We have to love God more than everyone else and allow Him to heal our emotional pains. Then we must do our part to help others who are alive become a part of God's family. Once this life is over, we will be forever united with our permanent family and the memory of others will go away. We believe that because we believe in the unseen realm.

The Unseen Realm Part 17

Luke 8:45-46 NKJV

And Jesus said, "Who touched Me?" When all denied it, Peter and those with him said, "Master, the multitudes throng and press You, and You say, 'Who touched Me?" But Jesus said, "Somebody touched Me, for I perceived power going out from Me."

Jesus was walking amidst a large number of people and many of them touched Him physically as He traveled with His disciples. So, when He mentioned that someone touched Him, His disciples pointed out the absurdity of the statement and reminded Jesus that people were touching Him all along the way. However, all the touches before this point were either accidental or the result of people perhaps looking for the thrill of being able to say they touched a famous rabbi - the one who had become known for doing miracles. But there was a woman in the crowd who was not interested in a thrill. She wanted to tap into the unseen realm and contact an unseen power that was capable of curing her disease supernaturally. The power she was healed by was moving down the street and no one was benefiting from it. How many people go to a place where the unseen power of God is available for miracles but never access it because their focus is on natural things the whole time? We must be cognizant of the power in our midst and practice expecting, reaching out and pressing through for miracles. In order to do that we have to be like the woman in the story and focus on the unseen realm, and ignore everyone who is just taking up space and getting nothing. We walk by faith.

The Unseen Realm Part 16

Job 38:36 NKJV

Who has put wisdom in the mind? Or who has given understanding to the heart?

God asked Job who gives wisdom and understanding to men. We do not see God physically but we see the effects of His work. He works in the realm of the unseen and it is manifested in the realm of the seen. It is good to know what God has hidden for us in the unseen realm so we can reach out to get it into the natural world where we can use it.
Proverbs 4:7 tells us,
“Wisdom is the principal thing; Therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding.” How do we do that? Get it from the unseen realm. God has hidden it for us, not from us. Seek Him. Find Him and get His wisdom and understanding.

The Unseen Realm Part 15

Job 27:13, 16-17 NKJV

“This is the portion of a wicked man with God,
And the heritage of oppressors, received from the Almighty:

Though he heaps up silver like dust, and piles up clothing like clay— he may pile it up, but the just will wear it, and the innocent will divide the silver.

The Lord said in Job 42:7 that Job said things about God that were right. Job did not understand all that was going on with his trials and said some things out of his ignorance. However, there were things he knew about God that were correct. I believe that in Job 27 he had a revelation of how things work in the unseen realm. God orchestrates things behind the scenes that causes an interesting result. Wicked people’s wealth end up in the hands of just or righteous persons. How does that happen? Automatically? No. In order for us to experience supernatural wealth transfer, we must operate in the unseen realm where it begins. Four lepers were sitting at the entrance of a city waiting on death from starvation when a discussion arose (2 Kings 7). If they went to the city there was a famine there – no chance of survival. If they went to the camp of the enemy, they could die but they could also survive if the Syrians decided to feed them and spare their lives. So they decided to take a chance and go into the unseen realm. There was certainty in the city – death. There was uncertainty in the enemy’s camp – maybe death or maybe life. They went to the enemy’s camp and found it empty, and ate and drank and took some of the wealth left behind. God had performed a miracle behind the scenes, in the realm of the unseen to cause the enemy to leave the spoils behind. The lepers went into the unseen realm and partook of the miracle and shared it with others. I wonder how many times we have failed to experience miracles in the area of wealth because we refused to say anything or act in any way that did not make sense to our natural minds. We refused to step out in faith and obey God. Let us get out of our comfort zone and begin to trust God on a higher level and see what is out there that we have yet to experience.

The Unseen Realm Part 14

Matthew 17:17-18 NKJV

Then Jesus answered and said, “O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him here to Me.” And Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of him; and the child was cured from that very hour.

Jesus was annoyed that His disciples did not cast out a devil that was tormenting a child. Could it have been that they were impressed by the manifestations of the spirit? Did it seem like this devil might have been too powerful? Inability to overcome a demon is not due to lack of power or authority, it comes from walking in the seen realm and allowing the enemy to impress us with his “power.” We have to make a conscious effort to stay in the realm of the unseen and see with our spiritual eyes that our God who lives in us is greater, and therefore we are more powerful than any demon we encounter. When the disciples later asked Jesus what their problem was, Jesus told them it was unbelief that cannot go away without prayer and fasting. When the works of darkness are overwhelming us, and we feel powerless to respond, we need to spend time in prayer. Some fasting may be required also to help us focus on the unseen. We can also feed our spirits more of the Word of God. We should never settle for being intimidated by the devil. Greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world. (1 John 4:4)

The Unseen Realm Part 13

Matthew 17:27 NKJV

Nevertheless, lest we offend them, go to the sea, cast in a hook, and take the fish that comes up first. And when you have opened its mouth, you will find a piece of money; take that and give it to them for Me and you."

Jesus did not agree with some of the things that were going on politically. However, He did not want to pick a fight over what was a simple thing to solve. He went to the unseen realm and contacted resources to take care of the tax that was asked of Him and Peter. God cares about everything that concerns us - even distractions that need to be eliminated. He always makes the miraculous possible to solve our problems.
