Governor of Texas passes trans-athlete ban in female sports for that state
The Governor of Texas has signed into law banning transgender athletes from girls’ sports in that state. Governor Greg Abbott signed the bill banning trans athletes to compete in public school competitions against biological females. Critics say the law is discrimination against members of the LGBT community. Supporters of the law say this is only to protect biological females and allow them fair competition. Several professional female athletes have voiced support for these types of laws. Medical professionals along with these athletes have commented on the advantage men have over women athletically based on biological makeup.
