Law firm announces historic win for Health care workers
Liberty Counsel has announced a historic win for 500 health care workers. The group of former and current health workers filed a lawsuit against NorthShore University Health system concerning COVID mandates. The plaintiffs in the case say they were discriminated against for requesting religious exemptions to be excluded from being required to take the shot by the healthcare company. Attorneys for the group say this equaled religious discrimination. A justice ruled in favor of the group agreeing that they were discriminated against. NorthShore has agreed to settle the case out of court for a total of $10.3 million dollars. The company has also agreed to change its no religious accommodations clause in its policy. Positions will also not be limited to employees who have been granted religious exemption. Former employees fired over the controversy will also be allowed to apply for rehire 90 days after the final settlement has been approved. According to the law firm each employee that was fired will receive about 25 thousand dollars; those that were forced to take the shot to keep their jobs will receive three thousand dollars in the settlement. Founder and chairman of Liberty Counsel Mat Staver called the settlement “a wake-up call” to employers who refused to grant religious exemptions to employees over the COVID shot.

SNBC Health: Fitness expert encourages people to
“Put God first in Fitness”
Kim Dolan Leto says fitness needs to start with Jesus. According to the author, and health expert, Leto believes getting in shape, prioritizing your health and ending the cycle of fad diets must begin with your relationship with Christ. Leto says goals have to be set in order to develop a long-term healthy lifestyle and a healthy body image. She says the only way to do that is seeing yourself through God’s eyes. The fitness expert says that submitting the flesh, mind, and being led by the spirit of God is the best way to achieve these goals. Leto says follow Christ’s example spending time with God intimately on a daily basis, seeking out Him in all areas (including health) helps us see ourselves the way God see us and helps us not to focus on the mistakes. Most health experts, including Kim Dolan Leto encourage a long-term healthy lifestyle plan that includes a healthy diet, daily exercise and realistic goals that can be achieved or kept over long periods of time.
