UNITE US reports more souls saved on college campus
Unite US is reporting another event where students accepted Jesus as their personal Savior in large numbers. Founder Tonya Prewett and her team reported this recent turnout of students at the crusade event. Over four thousand students at Purdue University filled the Elliott Hall of Music to hear the message of the Gospel. Half of the students present responded to receive Christ as their Savior. Following the call to Salvation several students were baptized. This move of God is part of an ongoing revival happening on college campuses that started in 2023 at Asbury University in Kentucky.

 

President announces punishment for universities encouraging anti-semitism
The Trump Administration is taking action against schools that allow antisemitism. President Trump announced that federal funding will be cut to campuses that allow continued hateful protests against the Jewish people, Jewish students, and the nation Israel. The sometimes-violent protests have spread nationwide across several universities and campuses. Protests have resulted in the occupation of school facilities, harassment of students, and violence towards police. The Anti-Defamation League reports more than ten thousand incidents of antisemitism were recorded in the US since October 7th, 2023. The president said on his social media page that all federal funding will stop to all universities and schools that support or do not stop antisemitic protests on campus. Columbia University in New York has been a particular hotbed of protests and violence against Israel and Jewish students.  Fellow Republicans and supporters have praised the president’s announcement.  SNBC NEWS will update you on this story as it continues.

 

President and Vice President of South American country accused of persecution against Christians
Nicaragua’s president has announced a controversial move. Following criticism from Christian groups and the UN, the nation’s president has announced they will leave the UN Human Rights Council. President Daniel Ortega made the announcement following a recent statement criticism from the UN. The Nicaraguan government was criticized for Human Rights violations and persecution of religious groups. The president and vice-president of that nation have been criticized for targeting of Christians. Several pastors were arrested following a large crusade in 2023. The pastors were later sentenced to jail time accused of corruption, links to organized crime and money laundering. Each of the pastors has been sentenced to over a decade in prison. Following the incident, Alliance Defending Freedom International filed a complaint.  The nation was later added to the US Commission on International Religious Freedom’s watch list for the persecution of Christians. Nicaragua’s president and Vice President have not commented on the accusations. Watchdog groups report persecution of the church in that nation is on the rise despite growing international pressure.
