Peace talks between Israel and terrorist group breakdown
This marks the end of a ceasefire between the Jewish nation and Hamas. A previous tentative ceasefire was negotiated but ended after Hamas refused to continue with the terms of the deal. This included no more attacks on Israel and the return of all hostages taken on October 7th. Israel responded to the breakdown in negotiations with striking targets in Gaza. The IDF called the strikes preemptive measures against the terrorist organization. Hamas now claims Israel is leaving the remaining hostages to a “unknown fate” if the military strikes continue. Experts say the hostages are now the only advantage Hamas has to keep Israel from a ground invasion into the region. SNBC NEWS will continue to update this story as it develops.
State’s attorney general orders cease-and-desist against pro-abortion group
Missouri’s Attorney General is taking action against Planned Parenthood. The state’s attorney general office has sent a cease-and-desist order against Planned Parenthood facilities in that state. The order is mainly due to violations stemmed from the distribution of pills that cause medical abortions. Attorney General Andrew Bailey says he sent the order to the organization due to its failure to comply with state policies. The state of Missouri was the first state to ban abortion after Roe vs. Wade was overturned; a law protecting abortion was later approved by voters in Missouri. The state’s attorney general says the cease-and-desist was due to several violations that willfully violate Missouri state laws. Among the violations the state claims building code, medical, and ethical violations were committed by Planned Parenthood.
