Group announces more new believers baptized across the U.S.
The group behind Baptize California is reporting success after a large event to baptize new believers. Organizers for the event are reporting major success following a recent event. The group launched the baptize America campaign following the success of Baptize California. The event was held in cooperation with various churches across the US in all 50 states. The nationwide event hosted new believers across all age groups and time zones and organizers reported one of the largest numbers of participants at a single event. The final count according to the group was over 26 thousand, with 650 churches participating the day’s baptism. One volunteer says they are believing God that what happened during Baptize America will go the ends of the Earth.
Cake shop owner wants nation’s highest court to hear case
A baker in California is taking her case all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court. Attorneys for Bakery owner Cathy Miller say they will appeal her case to the US Supreme Court in a battle against the state of California. Miller is a Christian and owner of Tastries Shop in Bakersfield, California. The owner says that she, her staff, and her customers have been the victims of persecution since 2017. Miller refused a same-sex couple request to bake their wedding cake. Miller refused citing her Christian faith but referred the couple to a baker that not only specialized in their interest, but also had been referred customer by Miller in the past. The couple refused and later filed a complaint against the bakery. The complaint later caused harassment on social media by people against workers, Miller and anyone who supported her business. The state of California won the appeal on the case and that state’s supreme court has refused to hear the case. Attorneys of Ms. Miller say they will appeal the case the nation’s highest court and are hopeful due to cases in the past involving Christian businesses that the case is selected by the court will rule in her favor.
Israel - Hamas negotiations break down after terrorist group rejects offer
The Israel-Hamas negotiations have stalled again according to representatives from the U.S. The negotiations for a ceasefire have ground to a halt following Hamas’ most recent rejection of the terms for the agreement. The terrorist group is demanding more Palestinian prisoners released and for Israel to stop their defensive tactics against the group in Gaza. Israeli leaders have vehemently vowed to defend their nation and citizens no matter what. The nation’s leaders recently announced they are adding settlements in Judea and Samaria. The IDF has also continued its offensive against Hamas. Some Israeli leaders are pushing for the Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu to leave the negotiation table. Israeli officials are also speaking out after the announcement of efforts to acknowledge Palestine as a nation. According to reports several nations, led by France’s president want to recognize Palestine during a summit this month in New York. Israeli officials consider this an insult especially following the October 7th attacks. Several allies of Israel says they will not participate in this meeting to recognize Palestine.
