Virginia voters to vote on abortion (banned, limited, or up until birth)
The battle in Virginia continues between pro-life and abortion rights groups over an upcoming vote in the midterm elections. The upcoming Amendment 1 in Virginia is sparking campaigns from both sides. Opponents of the bill say it is deceptive in its language and may allow abortions up until birth. Supporters claim the bill will give women a choice without danger of prosecution. The possible law would also protect medical professionals who perform abortions late term or otherwise. Critics claim the bill is deceptive and has language that will be loosely interpreted, allowing dangers to women. This includes language that may allow anyone, not just a medical professional, to perform an abortion. Since Roe vs. Wade was overturned in 2022, 13 states have banned or limited the kind of abortion procedures allowed in their state.

The student switched mid-season following placing 76th on during a boy's race.  A reporter with Fox News says the parents of the female athletes all believe there is more to the story than meets the eye. Some even referred to the switch as questionable. Most of the parents commented on how girls' sports should be for biological girls only and that this student is taking a spot away from a biological female athlete.
