Charlie Kirk: heartfelt tributes from conservatives for slain conservative activist/Christian influencer
Tributes continue around the world for the late Charlie Kirk. The 31-year-old conservative activist was killed in Utah last week. The assassination occurred during one of Kirk’s famous debate sessions with college students at Utah Valley University. Kirk was shot and killed by Tyler Robinson a 22-year-old resident of Utah, was arrested about two days after the shooting occurred. Authorities are still sorting out a motive, but according to Federal authorities Robinson is not cooperating with federal agents. According to information they continue to gather, Robinson was a lone wolf described as quiet but friendly. The shooter was also in a romantic relationship with his roommate, who was a male living as a female. Investigators believe this relationship and his radical beliefs found in chat rooms online was part of his hatred for Charlie Kirk. All of the people in Robinson’s inner circle are cooperating with authorities. Those who supported Kirk gathered around the world in various demonstrations to honor the fallen activists. Turning point USA has reported a sharp rise in requests to start a chapter at various schools around the U.S. Supporters have urged people to take up the mantle not only for conservative views, but to reach out to people and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This was one of the biggest agendas; Charlie Kirk used his platform continuously to lead young people to have a relationship with God. A memorial service was held Sunday September 21st at State Farm Stadium Arizona. Charlie James Kirk is survived by his wife, two children, one sibling and his parents.

 Court rules for Trump Administration vs. Planned Parenthood
A federal court has ruled in favor of the Trump administration concerning defunding Planned Parenthood. The justice in the case has ruled the Trump administration can block Planned Parenthood from receiving funding from Medicaid. The funding according to the administration should not be used by groups that fund abortions. The courts agreed ruling in favor allowing the case to go to the next stage in the court system. Supporters of Planned Parenthood claim the organization is being targeted because of its “healthcare procedures.” They also proclaimed Planned Parenthood does more than abortions. The controversial organization has received millions in government funding. President Trump vowed once re-elected that he would cut funding to the group, a promised he has kept. The organization has taken legal action to keep its funding from being cut.

Israel resists latest U.N. pro- Palestine push
Israel is continuing to resist a push from the UN to create a Palestinian state. Israel however has other plans. According to reports support is growing for that nation to claim sovereignty over the area in its entirety. Israel is continuing to fight against terrorist groups in the region. The ongoing battle stemmed from the October 7th attacks and continued resistance to negotiate. Israel has also stood its ground concerning pressure from around the world to give Palestine land and stop defensive attacks in Gaza. Israeli officials say they will not stop until these terrorists’ groups are destroyed. Israel has also launched a several offensives into other areas in the region in response to terrorists’ attacks. The IDF recently launched a ground assault into Gaza Strip. The UN has condemned the attacks, with on UN commission calling the assault genocide.

SNBC Health report: a warning from public schools about the danger of extended cellphone use
 Public schools’ officials are now pushing for high school and middle school students to turn off their cellphone and work on social skills. According to a recent poll Americans believe students will improve socially, in their grades and behavior by turning off their cellphones. According to the Parents Television and Media Council, several state have already banned, or restricted cellphone use in public schools. Cellphones can cause irritation to the eyes after long-term use. Issues associated with long term use are blamed for cubital tunnel syndrome, and arthritis. Prolonged cellphone use can also disrupt your sleep cycle and cause strain on the neck. Doctors advise turning off electronic devices, especially when preparing for bed and putting down your phone for extended periods of time.

 President announces plans to push for prayer in public schools
President Trump has announced plans to return prayer to public schools. The announcement was made recently during a press conference. The announcement was made during an event in front of the Museum of the Bible located in Washington, D.C. The president said in his speech that the Department of Education will soon issue new guidance protecting the right to prayer in public schools. The decision was partially inspired by an elementary school student who was told she could not prayer with fellow students by her school’s principal. The president recalled the incident and commented on the need to protect the nation’s Judeo-Christian values. The announcement is part of the America Prays initiative. This prayer event is encouraging Americans to pray for the U.S. as the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence will be observed in July of next year. 

Younger generation attending church more according to poll
A new poll is showing a resurgence among young people in church attendance. According to the Barna Research Group church attendance is up among Millennials and Gen Zers The poll reported a growing surge among these two generations with researchers commenting the amount has nearly doubled. The study find the attendance among both groups has increased steadily since 2020. The group had previously reported more frequent attendance among older generations with a steady attendance rates over the years. The study notes that surge is due to various factors such as mobilizing younger volunteers in churches and a desire for the Word of God growing among younger generations.

US Military Chaplains report they are more demand from troops
Spiritual growth is also being reported from Chaplains with the U.S. military. These ministers in the military are reporting the daily need for their counsel and support for the nation’s troops. The need for spiritual counsel has not gone unnoticed by the Government branch that oversees the military. The U.S. Department of Defense if reportedly working to increase the number of Chaplains enlisted across all branches of the armed services. The religious support branch of the military known as the Chaplain Corps has already surpassed its 2025 recruitment goals. Supporters say the increase in demand shows spiritual needs are critical to the military’s mission of protecting the U.S.

SNBC NEWS FOR LIFE extends it condolences to the family of Charles J. Kirk who was assassinated Wednesday September 10th. Kirk was a Man of God who founded Turning Point USA as a platform for young people to express their conservative values, love of God and patriotism. The organization was very popular among young conservatives and is considered a leader in the youth conservative political movement. Above all things Charlie always encouraged young people to pursue a relationship with Jesus Christ and stand proudly on the fundamentals that made America a successful country (Judeo-Christian principles). School board members want to reinstate prayer
A school board in California is taking a bold stand. The Chino Valley Unified School district is seeking legal action to allow prayer at school board meetings. According to reports, members of the school board are seeking legal counsel to allow their meetings to open with prayer. The board members are being represented by attorneys with Faith and Freedom. Joel Oster an attorney on the team says his team has filed a motion seeking that the previous ban be lifted. Oster says the old, outdated law was the result of a lawsuit ten years ago. Attorneys for the board referenced recent and previous cases where prayer has been allowed in public schools, and the laws of the U.S. being founded on Judeo-Christian beliefs.
The case is being appealed to the Ninth Circuit court, which previously made the decision in California to ban prayer at school board meetings.  SNBC NEWS will update you on this story as it develops.

Former physician assistant’s case allowed to proceed
The U.S. Court of Appeals has ruled a Christian’s case against her former employer can move forward. Valerie Kloosterman was fired from her job as a physician assistant in 2021. Kloosterman says she was fired after she refused to support gender-transition procedures. She also says she had refused to use pronouns that did not line up with a person’s biological gender. Kloosterman was fired by University of Michigan Health-West for her stance based on her Christian beliefs. The former physician assistant had worked with the company for 17 years with a stellar record prior to her dismissal.  She claims following her refusal, she was mistreated by administrators, with one even claiming she had caused the suicides of several gender confused patients. Kloosterman was also banned from talking about faith or bringing her Bible to work. Kloosterman was later fired a month after being targeted. A justice in the case chastised the hospital system for trying to settle out of court to prevent the details of the case from being revealed. The case will continue to move forward through the court system. SNBC NEWS will update you as the case progresses.

Christians in Nigeria ask for help from US over persecution
Christians in Nigeria are asking for prayer and intervention from the US as persecution in that nation intensifies. A recent documentary is exposing the persecution of Christians in villages and remote areas around Nigeria. Islamic terrorist groups are killing Christians in large number and according to activists the government is doing little to stop the massacre. The documentary produced by Truth Nigeria is shedding light on the persecution. Missionary Judd Saul is asking for the US to intervene and help stop this religious persecution. According to recent information more than three million Christians have been killed in Nigeria, accounting for almost 70 percent of all Christians killed for their faith worldwide.

SNBC Health report: Christian bodybuilder encourages all around health
A Christian bodybuilder is encouraging fellow Christians to make care of the human body a priority. According to Hunter Sprague, Christians should work to maintain a healthy lifestyle for the sake of representing God better. Sprague references I Corinthians 6:19-20 in his argument for better fitness and health among Christians. The fitness influencer says that we have to be good stewards in all areas of life including our physical health. He references physical health, nutrition, and spiritual health as part of what Christians should be doing on a consistent basis to represent the Kingdom to others. Sprague advises a healthy regimen of the Word of God, nutrition, cardio, and weights to help Christians not only grow in the things of God, but to maintain a healthy temple in order to continue witnessing the Gospel to others.

Dr. James Dobson passes
The founder of one of the largest conservative movements has passed. Dr. James Dobson passed on August 21st. Dobson was the founder of Focus on the Family. The organization focused on conservative values and the importance of faith, family, and patriotism. Started in 1977, as a radio program, Focus on the Family was eventually broadcast at over seven-thousand stations in 150 countries. Dobson was also a best-selling author and key figure in the conservative political movement supporting pro-life and traditional family viewpoints. Dr. James Dobson is survived by his wife, two children, and two grandchildren; he was 89 years old.

 High School girls team refuses to play against team with trans athlete
Two girls’ high school teams are taking a stand against men in women’s sports. Members of two high school volleyball teams in California chose to forfeit their games instead of playing against a team with a trans athlete on its roster. The forfeit matches are in response to a player on the Jurupa Valley High School’s volleyball team. The case is gaining national attention because of the Trump administration’s ban on biological males playing in women’s sports. The ban is designed to protect girls and women sports from being dominated by trans athletes. The President says the US Department of Justice will be investigating the state of California’s refusal to honor Title IX. President Trump says any public school that does not adhere to the government’s transgender athlete ban policies will not be funded.

SNBC NEWS UPDATE: Abortion Drug Mifepristone:
Pro-Life Groups are celebrating an announcement from a warehouse store.  Warehouse store chain Costco has announced they will not sell the abortion drug mifepristone. The announcement was made recently; the company announced it will not sell the abortion pill nationwide in its pharmacy locations.  

The retail and grocery giant cites a "lack of demand," but the move comes on the heels of a campaign from faith-based and conservative organizations. These groups hail the decision as a win for life.  Hannah Lape with Concerned Women for America told CBN's Faith Nation, "Concerned Women for America is absolutely thrilled with this decision from Costco. We know that this is a huge win for life and a step in the right direction.” Cracking down on the abortion pill is a top priority for the pro-life movement. More brick-and-mortar abortion clinics across the country are closing in record numbers. A recent study by the Ethics and Public Policy Center showed that women who take Mifepristone suffer complications 22 times greater than what's shown on the FDA's approved drug label. Recently three US senators Steve Daines, Marsha Blackburn, and Jim Banks sent a letter to the DOJ urging the administration to investigate the public health failure that the abortion pill has caused. Reports reveal that 1 in 10 women experience life-threatening complications after taking the pill. As CBN News has reported, the abortion pill is now being widely used across the country, accounting for about two-thirds of all abortions in America.

There have been studies over the years that encourage the consumption of meat verses plant protein or the opposite advice. Researchers recently found some unique benefits of eating meat in particular the protein found in meat. According to a recent study published in the Journal Applied Physiology, Nutrition and Metabolism, the protein found in meat offers protection to the body against certain illnesses. Animal protein contains essential amino acids, Vitamins B12, and a form of iron only found in meat.  It promotes muscle health, and omega-3 fatty acids. Researchers advise not to over consume any product regardless of the health benefits. They also advised creating a long-term eating plan to obtain nutrients and continue a healthy lifestyle over a period of time.

Pastor reports large numbers in revival event
More lives are being changed as revival continues across the US. Pastor Greg Laurie of Harvest Fellowship Church is reporting more people receiving Christ and a large baptism turn out. The mass baptism was held as part of an ongoing campaign by the church to win the lost followed by a baptism for new believers to publicly acknowledge their newfound faith. Over 2 thousand people were baptized in this latest event.  The event known as the Jesus Revolution Baptism so far has baptized over 8-thousand people in the past three years. Pastor Laurie is continuing to give God praise for this event and says the church will continue to witness the Gospel to the lost across California.

Ceasefire agreed upon between Israel and terrorist group
Israeli officials are reporting a ceasefire agreement may possibly be in sight for the Jewish nation with Hamas. Officials in Israel are reporting Hamas has accepted a ceasefire and the return of Israeli hostages. The terrorist group accepted a previously proposed 60-day ceasefire. IDF’s Chief of Staff called the acceptance of the deal, a turning point in the war. The most recent conflict between Israel and Hamas began last year, after the terrorist group attacked on October 7th. Since that time a number of negotiation talks have broken down and various deals have been struck, but not honored.
The conflict has also caused a rise in Antisemitism and Anti-Israeli sentiment. The US under the Trump Administration has announced they will back Israel in its efforts to secure their nation’s democracy.

Judge rules in favor of Christian afterschool organizations
A court has ruled in favor of a Christian afterschool club. A federal justice has ruled in favor of two afterschool clubs that witness the Gospel of Jesus to elementary school aged children. Child Evangelism Fellowship and Good News Clubs applied to have afterschool clubs in Oakland California. The Oakland Unified School District was accused of delaying the groups’ applications over the past two years. The school district claims the clubs would be in violation of certain laws. The district denying and delayed the applications according to attorneys as a way to deter the groups from being even established in the district. The groups later sued citing religious discrimination. Justice Haywood Gilliam Jr. agreed with the after-school clubs. Gilliam said in his order that the school district was simply wrong. He added that the law as clearly in the favor of the after-school clubs. Both groups were represented by Liberty Counsel in the lawsuit. The organization praised the court for ruling in their clients’ favor.

This vegetable is considered a staple ingredient in several dishes here in the U.S. Zucchini, is a vegetable that has gained popularity over the past few years and is loaded with health benefits. This summer vegetable is full of nutrients that promote eye health and fight inflammation. It is rich in vitamin C, beta carotene, lutein. In addition to having several nutrients, zucchini is a good source of potassium, and help with blood pressure. Zucchini is also a good source of fiber and high in antioxidants. This vegetable has also gained popularity as a substitute for pasta as a healthy alternative. Zucchini normally harvested between June through September.
