2. In the Know will be held this friday (June 20th) at 7:30 PM at Campus 3. In The Know is a live session taught by Pastor Marilyn Gool to share valuable information about current events with the members of VCC that is generally not found in the mainstream media. This is a MEMBERS ONLY event.
3. Are you born again and want to obey your Lord and Savior in Water Baptism? Water Baptism will be held NEXT SUNDAY (June 22nd) at 5:30 PM at Campus 3. Please stop by the Welcome Center to sign up and receive an important information sheet. (You must sign up in advance, walk-ins are prohibited.)
4. If you are celebrating a birthday in the month of June, Pastor Marilyn would like to meet with you immediately after service NEXT SUNDAY (June 22nd) in the Church Office reception area (West side of the Dome).
5. If you are a member and have children 9 years and up that attend VCC and they have a June birthday, please go by the Welcome Center and leave their names.
6. Our Sunday Night Bible Class features practical teaching to help you live a better life and grow in your personal relationship with God including our youth and children. Come celebrate as they continue their growth to the next level with our commencement exercises for SNBC, NEXT SUNDAY (June 22nd) at 7 PM! This event is open to the public. Our regularly scheduled Sunday Night Bible Classes are cancelled NEXT SUNDAY.
7. Men 18 & up, join the Men’s Fitness Program Summer Session which begins Saturday, June 28th. The sessions will concentrate on core and strength exercises that will keep you fit and moving. The 10-week program costs $20 or $2 per session. Sessions are held Saturdays from 7-8:30 AM at the Victory After-School Building (7130 Old Pineville Rd.). All interested participants can sign up on their first day of attendance.
8. Baby Dedication will be held Sunday, June 29th, during morning service. Interested parents who are members of VCC are asked to sign up by calling the Church Office by MONDAY, June 23rd, to participate.
9. Parents that have children in Children’s Church, please be reminded that Sunday, June 29th, is the 5th Sunday and there’s NO Children’s Church.
10. Lil’ Kings Summer Camp offers children ages 3-8* rewarding experiences they won’t forget including lessons that stimulate curiosity and creativity, fun-filled weekly themes, exciting activities like water games, cooking, sports, and much more! There is a one-time $40 registration fee. The cost of the camp is: $165 per week (and you only pay for the weeks your child attends). Breakfast, lunch and snack are included. The camp is Monday-Friday, 7 AM-6 PM and runs through July 31st. *A child must be 3 years old with a birthday on or before October 31, 2021, and potty trained to enroll. 13. Fun Night will be held THIS FRIDAY from 7-11 PM for ages 9-18. Appropriate attire is required.
14. The Missions Department in partnership with Truist Bank will host a Financial Boot Camp Seminar THIS Saturday
(June 21st). This interactive session will show you how to choose a bank account and assemble a budget that will serve your goals for years to come. This seminar is FREE and will be held from 10 AM to 12 Noon at Campus 3. Please scan the QR code to register or visit vccenter.net/financialbootcamp.
15. Attention Parents of SNBC Graduates: Each graduate is required to wear a cap and gown during the graduation ceremony. Please go by the Welcome Center to pay your graduate’s $3 cap and gown rental fee. Graduation rehearsal will be held THIS Saturday (June 21st) from 6-7 PM in the Dome. For rehearsal, all graduates are to enter through the South Entrance (rear of the Dome).
16. On Saturday, June 28th, there will be a Mental Health Workshop conducted by VCC member, Dr. Shirleen Coopwood. Pastor Marilyn would like all MOH leaders to attend. The workshop will be from 11:30 AM – 1 PM at Campus 3.
17. This week, we are asking each member to bring Canned Salmon. Items may be dropped off at the Dome Food & Clothing Room before and after service or weekdays (9:30 AM-4:30 PM) at Campus 3 (6916 Old Pineville Road). Thank you in advance.

19. NextGen (Youth Ministry for ages 12-18) is currently in need of chaperones (male and female but especially men) for youth services and events. Chaperones are responsible for receiving and monitoring youth, organizing snacks, overseeing activities and maintaining a safe and fun environment for the youth. No ministry experience is needed. Just a love for God and for young people is required. If you are interested in helping, please complete a MOH application at the Welcome Center.
20. The NextGen Youth Praise Team has a few openings. If you are between the ages of 12 and 18, have a love for God, and possess the talent to sing or play an instrument, we want to hear from you. If you are over 18 and skillfully play an instrument, we want to hear from you as well. Can't sing or play an instrument, but are creative or have a passion for technology? There's a place for you too! If any of these areas speak to you, please send your contact information and interest to NextGenPT2025@gmail.com or use the QR code.
21. Ministry of Helps Classes are available online! There are three options to register for these classes: 1. Go to vccenter.net, click on the “serve” tab and complete the submission form. 2. Sign up at the Welcome Center or 3. Email churchoffice@vccenter.net. If you are unable to take the classes online, please call the Church Office at 704-602-6010.
22. New Members Classes are available online. If you are interested in church membership, please go to vccenter.net, click on the “New Members Classes Online” link under the “Connect” tab. Submit your first and last name and email address. Your login credentials will then be sent to you.
23. The VCC Women's Shelter is touching and changing lives for the glory of God....If you are interested in serving at the Women's Shelter, we have chaperone shifts available Wednesday and Friday evenings and all-day Saturdays and Sundays. We are also in need of breakfast, lunch and dinner cooks Saturdays and Sundays. Please sign up at the Welcome Center.
24. Volunteering in the Nursery Ministry not only ministers to the children, but it also ministers to the Lord. We are impacting a whole generation by serving the next generation of disciples for Christ. If interested in joining, please sign up at the Welcome Center.
25. The Media Ministry has need of additional volunteers in all areas: Video, Audio, Floor Director, I-MAG and Stage & Lighting. No experience required and training will be provided. If you are looking for an opportunity to hold up our pastor’s arms, the Media Ministry may be the area for you. If interested, please sign up at the Welcome Center. Thank you in advance.
26. VCC Youth Fun Night for ages 9-18 needs chaperones! If you are a VCC member, at least 21 years old, completed MOH classes, have a desire/calling to work with youth and a fun personality; then we'd love for you to come serve with us! Flexible time slots are available once approved. All interested may complete a MOH application at the Welcome Center.
27. Are you good with capturing photos on your phone or mobile device? Does posting a story or GIF on Instagram or Facebook make you giddy? Then the VCC Social Media Ministry of Helps may be just for you. This team will help support the VCC Marketing and Promotions Department by capturing and documenting ministry events from the POV (point of view) of VCC. If interested in serving in this special MOH, please stop by the Welcome to complete a MOH application.
