Ephesians 5:1-2 NKJV
Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.
Paul asked the church to act like God and walk in love just as Christ also loved us. Christ demonstrated His love for us at Calvary. As we practice walking in love, we will be acting like God. Let us perform acts of love today and remind ourselves that God does that for us all the time. When we pray for others, remember Jesus ever lives to make intercession for us so we are participating with Jesus when we pray for others. When we give our time to someone, let us remember that God always has time for us. When we give tangible things to others, let us remember that it is God who supplies everything we need and even gives us things to enjoy. When we ask someone to help us, let us remember that God lets us help Him with what He is doing in the earth today. May every act of kindness we do remind us that we are acting like God who taught us what love is.
