Psalm 147:11 NKJV
The Lord takes pleasure in those who fear Him, in those who hope in His mercy.
Why would the Lord take pleasure in those who hope in His mercy? It is because they understand their limitations and God's greatness. They understand His love for them. They recognize that He is the Source of all they need and that He delights in rewarding those that diligently seek Him. The Lord is pleased to dwell among those who hope in His mercy because they allow Him to do what pleases Him - blessing His family and using them to bring others into the fold. Those who fear or reverence the Lord are humble before Him, doing whatever He tells them to. They recognize that He is good and His mercy endures forever. He gets joy out of His relationship with those saints. Let us be in that number.
