Micah 6:8 NKJV
He has shown you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?
Through the prophet Micah, the Lord revealed that although there were offerings and sacrifices that were a part of worship, those things were not a substitute for a pure heart. So He outlined what He was really looking for. On the list was "to love mercy." We must love mercy from 2 angles - God's mercy toward us and our mercy toward others in response to God's mercy toward us.
