The Unseen Realm Part 24

Ephesians 5:1 NKJV

Therefore be imitators of God as dear children.

How can we imitate God walking in the natural realm, doing everything by our physical senses? Is that how God operates? Absolutely not! He created this world by the spoken word. His Word caused a supernatural power to go into effect and form all the things He had the blue print for. The blue print was within Himself. God told Abraham he had made Abraham a father of nations when he only had one son by Sarah’s maid. God named Isaac whom He prophesied would be born to Sarah before Sarah became pregnant. God is definitely not limited by what can be perceived by the physical senses. He is not limited by what can be understood by the natural mind. If we are going to imitate God, we will have to take the limits of this natural realm off ourselves, and learn to operate in the unseen realm where God functions. It is a faith life. May our words and actions demonstrate a real faith in a real God until He can look at us and say, “Like Father, like son! Like Father, like daughter!”

The Unseen Realm Part 23

Ephesians 3:20 NKJV

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,

Paul indicates in this verse that God can do more than we can imagine. How? It is according to the power that works in us. That power is unseen. How much of it is working in us? Paul told Timothy (2 Timothy 1:6) to stir up the gift that was in him. Obviously, something was in Timothy that could be activated. So it is with believers who are filled with the Spirit. There is a power at work in us. The level to which we allow that power to work will affect how much God can do in our lives. When we focus more on the unseen things of the Holy Spirit through prayer, communion and other ways, we stir up and turn up the power inside of us. The more we turn up the power within, the more we will experience the Lord doing more than we can imagine.

The Unseen Realm Part 22

Genesis 15:1 NKJV

After these things the word of the LORD came to Abram in a vision, saying, "Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward."

God told Abraham (Abram) that the Lord was his shield and his exceedingly great reward. These were things Abraham could not see with his natural eyes. The shield and the exceedingly great reward were in the unseen realm. In order to move forward with God, Abram had to accept the reality of a world he could not see with his natural eyes. His acceptance by faith would enable him to experience in the natural world the reality of the unseen world. There are rewards on their way to us from the unseen realm. We must stay in faith and allow them to manifest on a continual basis.  I accept today that there are blessings stored up for me in the unseen realm that will manifest in the natural world. At any moment now I will encounter something good from God as I walk into what has been provided for me in the spirit world.

The Unseen Realm Part 21

John 13:12 NKJV
[12] So when He had washed their feet, taken His garments, and sat down again, He said to them, "Do you know what I have done to you?
Jesus and his disciples's walked on dusty roads. It was customary for the lowest in rank to wash the feet the group after travel. Jesus was the highest in rank but he took the task of washing his disciples feet. Then he asked, do you know what I have done? The answer seemed obvious. But Jesus was telling them that beyond what they could physically see, he was doing something in the unseen realm. He was exemplifying humility. We must be conscious that our actions in the seen, or natural realm have implications in the unseen realm. So we must ask, "What am I doing? Not just what can be seen with the natural eye, but what am I doing that can only be seen in the spiritual realm?

The Unseen Realm Part 20

Acts 17:13 NKJV

But when the Jews from Thessalonica learned that the word of God was preached by Paul at Berea, they came there also and stirred up the crowds.

Paul was bothered by evil spirits from the unseen realm that stirred up people to fight against him. The same people actually traveled from one place to another to whip up a mob to attack Paul. This lets us know that demons don’t die, they are just recycled. Throughout history and even in our world today, people oppressed by evil spirits are used to stir up crowds to cause trouble. It begins with their dislike for someone or some institution, etc. Many times the people who join the crowd know very little about what is going on. They are not aware that they are driven by an unseen force. They are told what to think and say, and how to act. Then they caught up in a mob for no good reason. We must always be careful about following a crowd. We do not want to come under the influence of evil spirits. This applies to following a crowd to wear a particular fashion, purchase gadgets, toys and other material things, as well as physical gatherings with people who do not know God.

The Unseen Realm Part 19

1 Corinthians 6:19 NKJV

Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?

Our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit. We can see our bodies but we cannot see the Holy Spirit inside of us. His presence is unseen. Yet He is in us. We still have as much control as we choose to have where our bodies are concerned. The more we yield control of our bodies to the Holy Spirit, the more Jesus will be glorified in us. Yielding to the Holy Spirit is easier when we practice focusing on the unseen realm. Imagine how different our choices would be if the Holy Spirit appeared in living color before us when we were about to make a choice. He will probably not do that because God wants us to walk by faith and not by sight. We must choose to meditate on His Word and fellowship with Him more and more so that we become more Spirit-conscious than self-conscious. Then we must practice asking for His help more and listening for His responses when we need to make choices.
