Teacher suspended for conservative comments online
A Methodist Bible college professor has been fired in the UK for speaking against homosexuality. According to report Dr. Aaron Edwards was fired from Cliff College in Derbyshire, England following a series of tweets by Edwards. The professor tweeted on his own personal account “Homosexuality is invading the church”. Edwards continued saying if the church does not acknowledge sin, then the need for a Savior is diminished, and it is not homophobic to call homosexuality a sin. Dr. Edwards was suspended from the College after the tweets. The school’s officials claim the remarks caused some members of the church “distress” and were “damaging” to the school’s core work.  School officials even considered turning Edwards in to the government’s terrorism task force because of the remarks. Dr. Edwards says the school and the UK Methodist church’s actions illustrate the problems within the church. Edwards added that the church is attempting to silence traditional beliefs based on the Word of God. Methodist church officials in the United Kingdom have refused to comment on this case.

State AG hosts Drag Queen story hour on taxpayer’s tab
NY State Attorney sponsors New York State’s attorney general recently hosted a drag queen story hour for families with small children. Letitia James announced the story hour on social media encouraging families to bring their children out for the event. The office of the attorney general report over 200 people showed up for the story hour. James’ office released a statement saying the event was held to, “condemn hate and combat rampant disinformation.”  Critics called the event a grooming session. They also reminded citizens living in the state that this event was put on with taxpayer dollars. One drag queen story hour event in 2018 received over 200 thousand dollars in city contracts according to The New York Post. Opponents are calling for James’ resignation for sponsoring controversial events with taxpayer dollars.

Ivy League University sponsors “emotional training” curriculum for young children
A school curriculum developed under Yale Medical School is using emotional persuasion tactics to trigger children attending public schools. Parents claim the curriculum is being used to make students become angry about social justice causes and aid them in developing an "intersectional identity”.

The tightly guarded curriculum was created by the Center for Emotional Intelligence at Yales’ Child Study Center. The lessons deeply probe into student's emotions, personal relationships, traumas, beliefs and triggers.

A law firm, the Dhillon Law Group, recently threatened a lawsuit against the Newport-Mesa School District. Attorneys for the firm accused the school district of forcing students to participate in the curriculum with no opt-out feature. The firm also accused the lessons require teachers who are unlicensed in this area to counsel students on the matter which is a violation of federal and constitutional law.

The curriculum encourages students to "see red" on their "mood meters," and to be enraged by social justice issues. It also encourages educators to bring inflammatory images into classrooms to create a culture of rage among their students.

One Newport-Mesa parent commented, "They're there intentionally triggering these kids emotionally."

"The educator essentially gets to define what is just and unjust based on the cultural bias of the day and without regard to any family or student values or beliefs," the parent added.

Another parent said the curriculum was a clear and "subversive attempt to socially engineer our children, to create them into social justice warriors."

It went so far as to ask students to enact distressing scenarios. "Students should go beyond explaining how they would express their emotions, and actually practice it with their facial expressions, vocal tones and body language."

SNBC Health News: Thyroid Health and Iodine
Your thyroid gland needs iodine to make hormones that influence your metabolism and other vital functions. Since your body does not produce iodine, you must get it through your diet on a daily basis. When your body lacks sufficient iodine, it cannot make enough thyroid hormone.

In the case of a serious nuclear accident, radioactive iodine can be released into the air, increasing your risk of thyroid cancer and acute radiation sickness when inhaled.

Non-radioactive iodine supplements help to prevent the radioactive iodine from concentrating in your thyroid gland, thereby reducing the risk of thyroid cancer.

Health experts generally recommend that you get as many nutrients as possible from your food, and iodine is no exception. Foods that are naturally iodine-rich include spirulina, sea vegetables, prunes, raw dairy products, eggs and Himalayan pink sea salt. Eating these foods on a regular basis will help ensure adequate levels year-round.

In the case of nuclear fallout, however, you may need higher doses than these foods can immediately provide — especially if you have not been getting sufficient amounts on a daily basis.

The conventional recommendation to ward off some of the health dangers of radiation exposure is to take supplemental potassium iodide. In addition to potassium iodide tablets, you could use Lugol’s solution, which includes both potassium iodide and iodine in water.

The recommended daily dosage of potassium iodide for an adult in the case of acute radiation exposure, is 130 milligrams (mg), which is relatively high and far in excess of the normal daily requirement of 1 mg or less per day.

For optimal protection, the iodine would ideally be taken one hour before the radiation exposure, and no later than 12 hours after exposure. Other supplements that can help reduce damage associated with radiation exposure are Vitamin D3 and molecular hydrogen.
