President announces big news at National Prayer breakfast
President Trump spoke at the annual National prayer breakfast in the nation's capital. The annual event celebrating its 74th year is a time for invited guests and politicians in Washington to focus on remembering and acknowledging God throughout their daily lives, especially in the halls of Congress. The president took the opportunity to announce a decision in honor of the nations’ 250th anniversary. President Trump says the U.S. will officially be rededicated to God. The president said, “I'm pleased to announce that on May 17, 2026, that we're inviting Americans from all across the country to come together on our National Mall to pray, to give thanks and... We're going to rededicate America as one nation under God."  The president says there will also be new guidelines issued by the Department of Education to protect prayer in schools.  

President Trump and Israeli Prime Minister meet over Iran
The president met with Israel’s Prime Minister recently. The two allies met concerning upcoming US negotiations with Iran. Benjamin Netanyahu moved up his meeting with the president following an announcement that the US would be meeting with Iranian officials. Israeli officials say they want restrictions on that nation to include the end of support for terrorists. They also want Iran’s nuclear weapons program to have more limitations. Iran is also experiencing an uprising from citizens in that nation. Though information is limited, reports claim thousands have been killed in protests against the Iranian government. The exact number could range from three thousand killed to as high as 50 thousand according to witnesses.  

 

 Revival continues in Europe with large revival event in London
Revival is continuing to grow as a church in the UK reports a great turnout for the Gospel. ExCeL London hosted a revival event with a guest pastor from Atlanta. Pastor Phillip Anthony Mitchell, pastor of 2819 Church was the featured speaker at the event with seven thousand people in attendance. The message of Jesus was mainly heard by a large group of young adults according to the church. The crowd hungry for the Word of God gave an overwhelming response to the invitation to accept Christ. Almost two thousand young adults responded to accept Jesus as their Savior. The event also hosted street evangelism events throughout London and assisted with churches who would continue to disciple new Christians. Studies have shown a dramatic shift in beliefs in the United Kingdom and across Europe as adults between the ages of 18-34 are searching for meaning and truth and are turning back to the Word of God.  

 

 

SNBC Health report: new federal guidelines concerning the food we eat
Health secretary Robert F. Kennedy has issued new guidelines for Americans. The new health guidelines are encouraging citizens to turn back to foods that are whole and limit processed foods. Kennedy said in a speech debuting the new guidelines, my message is clear eat real food. The new guidelines encourage consuming whole grains, vegetables, dairy, and healthy fats. A new food pyramid also debuted that showed more emphasis on fruits, vegetables, and healthy fats. The main objective, according to Kennedy, is to limit the amount of health issues related to obesity in America and get its citizens moving again. The department also issued guidelines encouraging limiting sugar and refined carbs.
