Teacher wins landmark amount in wrongful termination case
A teacher in Virginia has won a landmark case against his former school district. French teacher Peter Vlaming was fired in 2018, by the West Point School Board because of his Christian faith. The termination came after the teacher refused to use the preferred pronouns of a student who claimed to be trans-identified. Attorneys for the teacher say that he felt referring to the student by the opposite gender they were was a violation of his Christian faith. After a failed compromise was discussed, the board fired Vlaming. The teacher then reached out to Alliance Defending Freedom to take on his case. Attorneys for Mr. Vlaming say the teacher being terminated was a violation of his religious rights. Mr. Vlaming and the school district settled the wrongful termination case with a landmark judgement. He was awarded 575 thousand dollars. Mr. Vlaming’s attorneys say they are pleased with the decision. The teacher, in a statement with ADF echoed his attorney’s comments and says that he hopes this ruling will be used to protect other teachers and professors’ First Amendment rights. U.S. highest court declines to hear abortion case against state of Texas
The U.S. Supreme Court has rejected an appeal by the Biden Administration concerning a case against the state of Texas. The administration sued the state over its pro-life abortion laws. The laws in the state of Texas limit the time frame and abortion services that are allowed after the heartbeat of an unborn child is detected. The Biden Administration claimed the state laws prohibited doctors from offering emergency treatment in the case of danger to the mother. Attorneys for the state of Texas countered saying the federal government wanted abortion services to be provided at hospitals, not life saving emergency care. The U.S. Supreme Court agreed, declining to hear the appeal of a lower court’s ruling. Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton called the ruling a major victory. SBA Pro-Life America State Policy Director, Katie Glenn-Daniel, says the decision is a victory for all pro-life states, and confirms pro-life states do require care and consideration for both patients, mother and child.

A major victory tonight for a Christian group in court. The Biden-Harris Administration has agreed to pay over 200 thousand dollars in fees and costs following a ruling in favor of a Christian organization. The group, The Christian Employers Alliance, sued the government after a controversial policy was enacted. The policy under the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission forced Christian companies to cover under medical insurance gender altering surgeries. The requirement included surgeries, procedures, and counseling. The CEA sued on the companies’ behalf; the group says being forced to pay for these treatments and procedures violated the companies’ religious beliefs. A justice in the case agreed. U.S. Justice Daniel M. Traynor said in his ruling being forced to cover these kinds of controversial medical procedures is not a part of Title IX violations. He continued forcing companies to cover these operations is a religious violation and cannot be justified. The lawsuit was filed in partnership with Alliance Defending Freedom. A representative for ADF says they are pleased with the decision and applauded the court’s ruling.

SNBC Health report: the importance of exercise and long-term longevity
Some doctors and health experts refer to this as biological youth. The term basically means that a patient’s body works and responds like the body of a younger person. This can be achieved through three methods: through the Word of God, declaring scriptures of health and healing over your body according to the Word of God in Romans 8:11, the Spirit of God inside of us will give life to our mortal bodies. In addition to scripture confessions over our lives, food and activity are natural solutions to keep our bodies healthy and youthful. Vitamin D from sunlight, eating lean and healthy proteins, and the intake of healthy carbs are all ways to increase your health. Regular Exercise, prioritizing sleep, managing stress, eating whole foods often and prioritizing gut health are other recommended ways to keep our bodies young and healthy.

Revival is spreading! - Amazon Jungle (Brazil)
Revival is continuing this time in Brazil; missionaries are reporting a growth of the Church in some of the deepest parts of the Amazon jungle. According to those in the area, the Gospel of Jesus Christ is spreading, and evangelical churches are beginning to pop up at a rapid rate because of villagers hungry for the Word of God. The main issue with most missionaries is the amount of time it takes to get to rural areas of the region. The rainforest , which covers about 2.3 million square miles and spans across nine countries can take months to cross for most missionary groups.  Evangelical missions’ teams and pastors in the region are now training pastors and planting churches at a rate not seen in years according to reports. One ministry reported baptizing over 14-thousand people who have accepted Christ in the first six months of this year. As the Church continues to grow in the region, churches in Brazil are sending missions groups to help build schools, medical facilities, and other humanitarian efforts.
