📖 "The Lord is with me, so I will not be afraid. No one on earth can do anything to harm me. The Lord is my helper. I will see my enemies defeated." -Psalm 118:6-7 Easy-to-Read Version

We have no reason to fear anything in this life. God is on our side, and because of that we don’t need to fear man. We don’t need to fear anything about man. We shouldn’t allow the position of a man to intimidate us. We respect man, but we don’t fear any man. God is greater than any human being. He can humble whoever He needs to and remove whoever needs to be removed. The Bible tells us that the heart of the king is the hand of God, and He turns it whichever way He desires (Proverbs 21:1). God will fight for us. He will make our enemies our footstools if necessary. We are to live peaceably with all men. We are to respect all men, but we are never to fear any man. If God be for us, who can be against us.

📖 "And my God will liberally supply (fill to the full) your every need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” -Philippians 4:19 AMPC

God can handle everything. He doesn't want to meet some of your needs, He desires to meet all of your needs. There is nothing too difficult for God. It doesn't matter what type of need it is. It doesn't matter if it is your mortgage or a utility bill. Take the limits off of God. Our limitations aren't God's limitations. He is more than capable. We can put our trust in God because He is able to do exceedingly, abundantly above all that we could ask or think.

📖 "Fools make a mock of sin and sin mocks the fools [who are its victims; a sin offering made by them only mocks them, bringing them disappointment and disfavor], but among the upright there is the favor of God.” -Proverbs 14:9 Amplified Bible Classic Edition

Only fools make a mockery of sin. As believers, we are to be sober-minded about the wages of sin. The Bible tells us that the wages of sin is death. Adam and Eve underestimated the cost of sin. It cost them everything. Sin will mock us if we don’t stay free from it. We must stay away from sin and embrace righteousness and the dividends it pays. The text tells us that among the upright, there is favor with God. We only tend to gain when we do things God’s way. Obedience doesn’t cost, it pays. It always pays to serve God.

📖 "But he who looks carefully into the faultless law, the [law] of liberty, and is faithful to it and perseveres in looking into it, being not a heedless listener who forgets but an active doer [who obeys], he shall be blessed in his doing (his life of obedience). -James 1:26 Amplified Bible Classic Edition

It is very important that we hear the Word of God. The Bible even tells us that “faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God” (Romans 10:17). Even though it is important for us to hear the Word, we must also be doers of the Word. The Bible tells us that if we are faithful to it, and if we persevere into meditating on it, we will be blessed in our doing. Isaiah 1:19 tells us that if we are willing and obedient, we will eat the good of the land. If we desire to go from glory to glory, we must be an active doer. We must obey the Word on a consistent basis. As we are consistent in our actions, we will experience the blessings associated with doing. God honors a life of obedience.

📖 "For the Lord your God has blessed you in all the work of your hand. He knows your walking through this great wilderness. These forty years the Lord your God has been with you; you have lacked nothing.” —Deuteronomy 2:7 Amplified Bible Classic Edition

The Israelites were in the wilderness for forty years, and they did not lack anything.  They ate every day. They drank water every day. Everything that they had need of God was met. There was even a time when they wanted meat to eat instead of the manna that they had been eating every day. God not only provided it, but it took them three days to gather it up. Keep in mind this was to feed a few million people. God knows how to take care of His people. Not only does he do it out of love, but He also does it because of the covenant. God is faithful to His Word, and it is impossible for Him to lie. If He said He will meet our needs, He will. If He said He is our Healer, He is. He is everything that He says He is, and more. Heaven and earth may pass away, but the Word of our God will stand forever.

📖 "Beloved, I pray that in every way you may succeed and prosper and be in good health [physically], just as [I know] your soul prospers [spiritually]." -III John 2 Amplified Bible

God desires that His children do well in life. Every parent wants their children to be healthy and successful in every area of their lives. We know that God sent Jesus into the world to redeem mankind. Jesus also said that He came so that we can have life and have it more abundantly. God desires for us to live the good life: a life of abundance and surplus. A life that is free from sickness and disease. A life that is free from the curse of the law. If God wanted us sick and broke, He would have left things the way they were. God desired better for us, so He sent Jesus so that we could have better. Don’t settle for anything less than God’s best.

📖 "Moses was 120 years old when he died, yet his eyesight was still good, and his body was strong.” -Deuteronomy 3:7 Contemporary English Bible

As we get older, we can still be healthy and strong. The world has sold us on the idea that as we get older, our bodies are supposed to deteriorate, and our health is supposed to decline. The world has given us the idea that we must be sick prior to death. They will even tell you that “everyone has to die of something.” Moses’ body was still strong at the age of 120. His eyesight was still good. Caleb was 85 when he told Moses that he was just as strong as he was forty years earlier. The Bible tells us that “they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk and not faint.” We must renew our minds to the Word of God. We can live long, and we can live strong. With long life God will satisfy us and show us His salvation. (Psalm 91:16).

📖 "My son, keep my words; lay up within you my commandments [for use when needed] and treasure them. Keep my commandments and live, and keep my law and teaching as the apple (the pupil) of your eye. Bind them on your fingers; write them on the tablet of your heart. Say to skillful and godly Wisdom, You are my sister, and regard understanding or insight as your intimate friend—That they may keep you from the loose woman, from the adventuress who flatters with and makes smooth her words." -Proverbs 7:1-5 Amplified Bible Classic Edition

The Word of God will keep you. It will keep you from the loose man, and it will keep you from the loose woman. It will keep you from the dishonest man and the dishonest woman. The Word of God will keep you out of trouble. If you obey the Word, it will keep you out of ungodly places and out of relationships with ungodly people.  We are instructed to lay up the Word in our hearts, keep them as the apple of our eye, bind them on our fingers, and write them on our heart. In other words, put the Word everywhere, so that you won’t forget what it says. Those words are life to those who find them, and health to all of our flesh (Proverbs 4:22).

📖 "Besides, to which of the angels has He ever said, Sit at My right hand [associated with Me in My royal dignity] till I make your enemies a stool for your feet? Are not the angels all ministering spirits (servants) sent out in the service [of God for the assistance] of those who are to inherit salvation?" —Hebrews 1:13-14 Amplified Bible Classic Edition

Don’t forget about your angels. They are ministering spirits who are sent to assist those who have inherited (received) salvation. When we speak the Word of God, the angels do His commandments (His Word) and hearken unto the voice of His Word (Psalm 103:20). Speaking the Word of God activates the angels and causes them to move on our behalf. When we speak the Word of God, we give the angels an assignment to carry out. Many angels are sitting idle because many believers never quote or speak the Word of God. Don’t allow the angels to sit dormant in your life. They are our servants, and they are ready to move.

📖 “After three days they found Him [came upon Him] in the [court of the] temple, sitting among the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions. And all who heard Him were astonished and overwhelmed with bewildered wonder at His intelligence and understanding and His replies. And when they [Joseph and Mary] saw Him, they were amazed; and His mother said to Him, Child, why have You treated us like this? Here Your father and I have been anxiously looking for You [distressed and tormented]. And He said to them, How is it that you had to look for Me? Did you not see and know that it is necessary [as a duty] for Me to be in My Father’s house and [occupied] about My Father’s business? —Luke 2:46-49 Amplified Bible Classic Edition

There were two things that Jesus saw as a duty. The first duty was to be in His Father’s House (the temple). The second duty was to be about His Father’s business. We must embrace both duties. We must embrace being in the house of God, and we must embrace being about the Father’s business. We are not to forsake the assembling of ourselves together (Hebrews 10:25). We should be in church as much as we can. We should also be about the work of the kingdom. We need to be concerned about the Great Commission. We need to go about getting people saved, casting out devils, and laying hands on the sick. We are God’s ambassadors and His representatives; if we don’t do it, who will? We have to be about our Father’s business.

📖 “Cainan’s father was Enos; Enos’s father was Seth; Seth’s father was Adam; Adam’s father was God.” —Luke 3:38 The Living Bible

It has always been the desire of God to be a Father to His children. When He created Adam, He created Him for fellowship. Adam was treated like a son. Adam was to rule the earth the way that God ruled the heavens. Adam was made in the image and likeness of God, like a child is to his parent. When Adam disobeyed God in the Garden, he died spiritually and Satan was his new father. Adam was spiritually dead just like Satan is. God sent His Son Jesus to redeem mankind and to give mankind the opportunity to receive sonship (Galatians 4:5). That same chapter tells us that we are no more servants, but sons (v.7). We are not only sons of God, but we are heirs of God through Christ (Galatians 4:7). We have been restored back to our rightful place, let us walk like it and talk like it.

📖 “But far be it from me to glory [in anything or anyone] except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah) through Whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world!” ⎯Galatians 6:14 Amplified Bible Classic Edition

The world has been and should be crucified to us. We should be “dead to the world,” and the world should be “dead to us.” These phrases simply mean that as we continue to grow and mature in the things of God, the things of this world won’t matter to us as they used to. As we mature and grow, we understand that this earth is not our home and that we are just passing through. We are just pilgrims on a spiritual journey until we go on into glory (heaven). We can still enjoy our time on the earth, but we are not to be attached to this world. We glory in the cross. We glory in our salvation. We glory in knowing that our names are written in the Book of Life. Hallelujah!

📖 “Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage." ⎯Galatians 5:1 New King James Version

When God sets us free from any bondage, He expects us to stay free. God wants us free from every sin, vice, addiction, and anything else the devil would use to keep us in bondage. Jesus has given us victory over sin, and we should no longer be entangled in that which we have been set free from. When God sets us free, we must take the responsibility of staying free. We must be aware of our associations, our surroundings, and what we look at. We must guard our hearts with all diligence. We can live a life that is pleasing to God, but it takes discipline. We must be like Paul and “buffet” our bodies. We must keep our flesh under, but in order to do that, we must keep our minds on the things of the Spirit. If we walk in the Spirit, we will not fulfill the lust of the flesh (Galatians 5:16).

📖 “Then Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, Moses did not give you the bread from heaven, but My Father gives you the true bread from heaven. For the bread of God is He who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world." ⎯John 6:32-33 NKJV

Jesus spoke about the manna from heaven that the Father supplied through Moses. It was for the children of Israel to eat to sustain their fleshly bodies. They ate it and eventually died. However, the TRUE bread that the Father has provided from Heaven (Jesus) provides eternal life! Matthew 4:4 AMPC tells us that “Man shall not live and be upheld and sustained by bread alone, but by every word that comes forth from the mouth of God.” and John 3:15 NKJV states “ that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.” Let’s never lose sight of the fact that the true bread that God provides is good for this life and for eternity.

📖 “And He was not able to do even one work of power there, except that He laid His hands on a few sickly people [and] cured them. And He marveled because of their unbelief (their lack of faith in Him). And He went about among the surrounding villages and continued teaching." ⎯Mark 6:5-6 Amplified Bible Classic Edition

Jesus had preached in His hometown, and the people did not receive Him. He was unable to do any mighty works there because of their unbelief. The power was available, but their unbelief kept them from receiving and benefiting from that power. In order for us to receive from God, we must receive by faith. Faith connects us to the power of God. God is not keeping anything good from us. Many times, we are hindering the power of God from flowing in our lives. If we will simply believe God’s Word and act like His Word is true, we will see more of His power in our lives. God loves us and desires to do more for us. Let’s not forget that His eyes are going throughout the earth, looking to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose hearts are perfect toward Him (2 Chronicles 16:9). What will He find when He looks at you?

📖 “David was greatly distressed, for the men spoke of stoning him because the souls of them all were bitterly grieved, each man for his sons and daughters. But David encouraged and strengthened himself in the Lord his God. David said to Abiathar the priest, Ahimelech’s son, I pray you, bring me the ephod. And Abiathar brought him the ephod. And David inquired of the Lord, saying, Shall I pursue this troop? Shall I overtake them? The Lord answered him, Pursue, for you shall surely overtake them and without fail recover all. ⎯I Samuel 30: 6-8 Amplified Bible Classic Edition

David was having a rough day. When he and his men returned to Ziglag, they found the city burning, and their families had been taken. David’s men had even talked of stoning him. David knew what to do. He encouraged himself in the Lord. Then He sought the Lord. When life gets tough and the devil is coming at you in every direction, we can learn from David. We can encourage ourselves in the Lord.  We can seek the Lord and find out how to overcome every attack of the wicked one. God will lead us. He will show us how to recover all. God will always cause us to triumph over every situation. He is on our side!

📖 “Now look at me: God has kept me alive, as he promised. It is now forty-five years since God spoke this word to Moses, years in which Israel wandered in the wilderness. And here I am today, eighty-five years old! I’m as strong as I was the day Moses sent me out. I’m as strong as ever in battle, whether coming or going. So give me this hill country that God promised me. You yourself heard the report, that the Anakim were there with their great fortress cities. If God goes with me, I will drive them out, just as God said.” ⎯Joshua 14:10-12 The Message

Caleb was one of the original twelve spies that were chosen to spy out the Promised Land. He and Joshua brought back a good report. They believed that the Israelites could take the Promised Land. The other ten spies did not believe that they were able to take the land. God told Joshua and Caleb that they would enter the Promised Land because of what they believed. Forty-five years had passed, and Caleb still believed the same thing. He wasn’t moved by how long it had been. He was still as strong as he was forty-five years earlier. He did not give up on what God had promised him. We must have the same determination. It doesn’t matter what it looks like; we must stand on God’s Word regardless of how long it takes. We know that it’s just a matter of time before God comes through. As one minister put it, “if you’re willing to stand forever, it won’t take that long”.

📖 “Moreover the profit of the earth is for all: the king himself is served by the field."⎯Ecclesiastes 5:9 King James Version

The profit of the earth is for all. Psalms 115:16 tells us that the heavens are the Lord’s, “but the earth has He given to the children of men”. Anyone can succeed when they make up their mind to. The profit of the earth is for all, regardless of your ethnicity, your gender, or your background. God sees us as more than conquerors (Romans 8:37). We are to take dominion over this earth, and we are to reign in this life as kings (Genesis 1:28; Romans 5:17 AMP). The earth is open to all, but only those who are aggressive will take their portion. Matthew 11:12 tells us that “The kingdom of heaven suffereth violence and the violent take it by force”. We cannot be passive; we must take what the Spirit of God says belongs to us. Joshua asked the people, “How long are ye slack to go to possess the land, which the Lord God of your fathers hath given you”? Let's not have God ask us the same question. Let's take our inheritance and take the land!

📖 “Investigate my life, O God, find out everything about me; Cross-examine and test me, get a clear picture of what I’m about; See for yourself whether I’ve done anything wrong—then guide me on the road to eternal life." ⎯Psalms 139:23-24 Message Bible

This should be the desire of every Christian. Our desire should be to please God in every area of our lives. Not only should we examine ourselves, but we should ask God to examine our lives as well. When we do, if anything in our lives needs to be changed, we should be open to doing whatever He tells us to do. He is the Potter, and we are the clay. We must allow Him to mold us and shape us into what He desires us to be. We are to be vessels and meet for our Master’s use. Our lives are not our own. We are the sheep of His pasture, and it's in Him that we live, move, and have our being. We have been bought with a price. So, we should never forget that our lives belong to Him.

📖 “And God purposed that through (by the service, the intervention of) Him [the Son] all things should be completely reconciled back to Himself, whether on earth or in heaven, as through Him, [the Father] made peace by means of the blood of His cross. And although you at one time were estranged and alienated from Him and were of the hostile attitude of mind in your wicked activities, Yet now has [Christ, the Messiah] reconciled [you to God] in the body of His flesh through death, in order to present you holy and faultless and irreproachable in His [the Father’s] presence.” ⎯Colossians 1:20-22 Amplified Bible Classic Edition

Reconciliation is a theme that runs all throughout the New Testament. God wanted to reconcile the world back to Himself, so He sent Jesus to the earth to redeem mankind. Those of us who have made Jesus the Lord of our lives have been given the ministry of reconciliation. We are to tell people that God has reconciled them back to Him and that they simply have to accept Jesus as their Savior and Lord. Jesus has done all the work to redeem mankind. It cost Him His blood, but it was through the blood that we obtained peace with God. At one time we were estranged from him, but now we are righteous. We can stand before God as if we have never sinned.
