DAILY DEVOTIONAL | April 25th

We are the light of the world. The world may not always see it that way, but that is the way God sees us. We are His ambassadors. We are His representatives. This world would be in bad shape if we were not here. As God’s ambassadors, we cannot misrepresent Him. Not only that, but we cannot be ashamed of who we are. We cannot be ashamed to witness to the unbeliever. We must be willing to pray for people. We must be willing to lay our hands on the sick in obedience to the Great Commission. As believers we must embrace who we are and not be afraid of persecution. We cannot be afraid of being ostracized. God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Let us be the light of the world, God is counting on us, we are all that He has here.

DAILY DEVOTIONAL | April 24th

All things are possible. That would be hard to believe if Jesus had not said it. Since He said it, we are obligated to believe it. Regardless of what you may facing on today, God can handle it. God can handle your debt. God can handle your children. He can handle your finances. God handle everything in your life. He only asks that you believe. You must believe that He can do it even when it looks like there is no hope. Hope deferred makes the heart sick (Proverbs 13:12). We must know that nothing is too difficult for God and that He is more than capable to handle the challenges we face in life. Jesus told us that in the world we would have tribulations but to be of good cheer, He has overcome the world, even what seems to be impossible (John 16:33).

DAILY DEVOTIONAL | April 23rd

Jesus knew that His time was approaching. The time was approaching for Him to die for humanity. He had to come through a Samaritan village, and if you know anything about the Samaritans, you know that they did not like the Jewish people. This village would not receive Jesus or His disciples because of their ethnicity. It did not bother Jesus. Jesus was focused. Jesus knew why He was on the earth. He was not concerned about the rejection because He was all about fulfilling His purpose. His disciples got upset and two of them wanted to call down fire from heaven. When you are focused on your purpose, it's hard to get sidetracked by people not liking you. You are not moved by the petty things of this world. Stay focused on the path. What if Jesus was constantly distracted? Well, He wasn’t...He refused. He was obsessive about His purpose and eventually would fulfill His destiny. If we are to do the same, then we must do the same. We must remove all distractions and focus on our purpose.

DAILY DEVOTIONAL | April 22nd

God has dealt to every person who has been born again, the measure of faith. It is the measure of faith that will cause victory in every area of your life. Jesus came so that we could experience life in every area of our lives. Faith begins where the will of God is known. As you learn what belongs to you as a believer, you can then believe God for what He has already promised you. The Bible tells us that the promises of God in Him are yes and amen (2 Corinthians 1:20). He has already said yes to everything that has been promised to you. Find out what belongs to you, stand on God’s Word, and watch faith change every negative situation in your life.

DAILY DEVOTIONAL | April 21st

When it comes to forgiving people, it is not always the easiest thing. Our emotions sometimes want to hold on to the offense so that we can stay angry or receive pity when we tell people about the incident that took place. But...we are Christians. We are “Christ-like” ones. We are doers of the Word of God. If the Word of God tells us to forgive and let it go, we have no choice in the matter, we must forgive and we must let it go. It can seem impossible to be willing to forgive someone up to four hundred and ninety times in one day. That may seem like a demanding thing for us, but we must consider our Heavenly Father. How many times has He forgiven us? Some of us have come close to the four hundred and ninety times in a day. We must be imitators of our Father and doers of the Word. We must be love children of a love God. He would not ask you to do something that you were not capable of doing with His help. Let us be imitators of our Father by forgiving and moving on. Our faith is counting on it because faith works by love (Galatians 5:6).

DAILY DEVOTIONAL | April 20th

Isn’t God good? He not only blots out our transgressions, but He also said that He would not remember our sins anymore. It's our sins that separates us from God. God desires relationship with His children to the point that He would remove the barrier that would cause us to not be able to fellowship with Him: our sins. God won’t even remember the wrongs that we have done. He has such an intense love for us and wants us to come to Him for whatever we need. He is a loving Father and desires to fellowship with His children the way He fellowshipped with Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. So let's take advantage of the opportunities that have been given to us. Let's boldly approach the throne of grace and obtain help when we need it. There is nothing keeping us from it. He has removed all barriers!

DAILY DEVOTIONAL | April 19th

When a person makes Jesus Christ the Lord of his or her life, they become a new creation. One version of the Bible says that we become “a new species of being, one that has never existed before”. That is good news. It is good news because our past has been removed from us. There is no evidence that you were a sinner because you are now a new person altogether. Paul received a revelation of that. Despite his persecuting the church before his conversion, he was able to later say that he had wronged no man. He had a revelation of the Blood of Jesus. He had a revelation of redemption. We have not only have we been recreated, but God has also reconciled us to Him and made us to be in right standing with Him. We can come before God as if we have not sinned one day in our lives when we make Jesus the Lord of our lives. Even when we sin, if we confess our sin, He is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (I John 1:9).  We must meditate on these spiritual truths until they become a reality to us. When we receive a revelation of who we are in Christ we can say something like Jesus when He said, “Father I know that you always hear me (John 11:42).

DAILY DEVOTIONAL | April 18th

We have a secret weapon in prayer. When a Christian is filled with the Holy Spirit, that person receives a special prayer language. When a person prays in tongues or in their heavenly language, they are speaking mysteries and secret truths according to I Corinthians 14:2 (NKJV and Amplified Classic). When praying in the Spirit, your spirit is praying, and your understanding is unfruitful (I Corinthians 14:14). When making intercession for an individual, we may not always know what to pray, and that’s when we switch over to our secret weapon. That is when we pray in our prayer language, and the Spirit of God prays through us the perfect will of God concerning that individual or concerning the situation if we are praying about a specific situation. When the Spirit of God is praying through the perfect will of God through us, we then know that all things will work together for good. Let's use our secret weapon in prayer, it will cause us to come out on top every time.

DAILY DEVOTIONAL | April 17th

In this passage, Jesus is speaking. He is our example...our model. Notice His attitude in reference to the will of God. He says that He does not seek His own will. He goes on to say that He has no desire to do what is pleasing to Himself, He only desired the will of God. That must be our posture as well. We should only desire God’s will for our lives. We only desire to get His orders so that we can carry them out. True fulfillment can only come through walking out the Father’s orders. He always knows what is best for us. Let us be like Jesus. Let’s seek the will of God for our lives. His thoughts are higher than our thoughts, and His ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:11).

When God wants to take your life to another level, He sends someone into your life. Unfortunately, the devil does the same thing. When he wants to destroy your life, he will send someone into your life. As believers, we must be led by the Holy Spirit when it comes to choosing our friends. Friends should make you better. Friends should also be people who bring you closer to God. A godly friend would never ask you to do things that will jeopardize your salvation or compromise your value system. Every now and then we need to evaluate our friendships and make sure that our friends are making us better, not causing us to get worse. We should also be sure that we are a godly influence on the people in our lives. We should strive to be the light of the world, the salt of the earth.

DAILY DEVOTIONAL | April 15th

These were the words spoken to Saul. Saul disobeyed God. He was supposed to destroy everything in the city, instead, he saved the best of all that was good and did not kill the king as he was instructed to do. His disobedience cost him the crown. Samuel reminded him that when he was small in his own eyes, God placed him in a position of royalty. He was the king of Israel. God wants to promote His people. However, one thing that could be hindering Him from doing that is our pride. The Bible tells us that pride comes before destruction. We must all get to a place where we understand that we are who we are by the grace of God. We must understand that our intelligence, talents, and abilities, all came from God. When we get to a place that we think we are smarter than God, we are on dangerous ground. Saul disobeyed God and thought his idea was better than God’s. We must never get to that place. We must be doers of the Word of God and, we must obey God at all costs. Let's stay little in our own eyes and keep our dependency on God. Without him we are nothing.

DAILY DEVOTIONAL | April 14th

God is our Source. God was Abraham’s Source of Blessing. Abraham even told the king of Sodom when the king tried to give him the spoils of a recent battle, “I have lift up mine hand unto the Lord, the most high God, the possessor of heaven and earth, that I will not take from a thread even to a shoe latchet, and that I will not take any thing that is thine, lest thou shouldest say, I have made Abram rich” (Genesis 14:22-23). Abraham would not take anything from the king. He was determined that God would be his source of blessing and towards the end of his life, his servant said, “The Lord hath blessed my master greatly; and he is become great; and he hath given him flocks, and herds, and silver, and gold, and menservants, and maidservants, and camels, and asses. (Genesis 24:35)” God is no respecter of persons. We also have access to the Blessing because we are part of the body of Christ which means that we ALSO have a covenant relationship with the God of Israel like Abraham. Make God your Source today. It is a decision you will not regret.

DAILY DEVOTIONAL | April 13th

Perspective is very important. We must always see things from God’s perspective. The servant of the man of the God woke up and all that he could see was an army surrounding the city. Elisha saw something different. He knew who was with him. He knew that they who were with him were greater than the army that he could see with his physical eyes. The Bible tells us that we are to walk by faith and not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7) Many times when situations take place in our lives, we may have a tendency to look at it purely from a natural perspective, and we don’t look at it from God’s perspective. God’s Word should always take precedence over what we see in the natural because God’s Word can change everything we see in the natural. Let's keep things in their proper perspective and recognize and understand that no matter what we face in life, we can face it knowing that if God is for us. No one can successfully be your enemy.

DAILY DEVOTIONAL | April 12th

Do you want your world to get larger? Do you want to experience more of the blessings of God? The Word of God tells us that the world of the generous gets larger and larger. The one who is stingy is the one whose world gets smaller and smaller. According to our text, the one who is willing to be a blessing to others will himself/herself receive blessings. It reminds us of Luke 6:38. In that verse, it tells us that “with the standard of measurement you use [when you do good to others], it will be measured to you in return” (amplified version). When it comes to receiving from God, we determine the standard of measure that we receive from God by the measure that we give. If you don’t like the state of your world, change your standard of giving, knowing that God is not a man that He should lie. When you change your standard of giving, you will change your standard of living.

DAILY DEVOTIONAL | April 11th

God has blessed all of us with gifts, talents, and abilities. It is on us to develop the talent that is on the inside of us. We all have the potential to become more than what we currently are. The question is are we taking the necessary steps to unleash our full potential? God expects us to become more. Many people want to stand before great men and women but are unwilling to do what it takes to stand there. We must develop the gift. We must strive to become better and better. David’s gift brought him before Saul. He was known for playing the harp, and when they were thinking of someone who could play some anointed music to bring Saul relief from an oppressive spirit, someone brought up David. David’s development of one of his gifts brought him before the king. If we will do the same, we will too.

The Holy Spirit has been given to us to help us. The Holy Spirit is there to be a counselor to us. The Scripture above lists all the things the Holy Spirit is to be to us. He wants to be in close fellowship with us to help us in every area of our lives. Later on in the chapter (verse thirteen), Jesus tells us that the Holy Spirit will receive from the Father, and He will share those things with us. He even said that the Holy Spirit will show us things to come. Thank God for the Holy Ghost. We are not in this world alone, we have help. The Holy Ghost is our helper, and He is standing by, ready to assist us in whatever situation we face.

DAILY DEVOTIONAL | April 9th

It is so good to know that we serve a merciful God. The Bible tells us that His mercies are new every morning. Before Paul’s conversion, he brutally and mercilessly persecuted the church. He had men and women put in prison and he was consenting to the death of Stephen. Paul had just received letters to do even more damage to the church when he had his Damascus Road experience. When God got a hold of Paul, He totally turned his life around and Paul began walking in the call that God had preordained for him to walk in. It doesn’t matter how many times we fail. It doesn’t matter how many mistakes we make. When your heart is to please God and to be what He has called you to be, He knows how to get you where you are supposed to be. He doesn’t consult your past to determine your future. Don’t allow the enemy to bring up your past, it’s over with. Your latter end will be better than your former. God knows the plans that He has for you, a plan to give you a hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11).

DAILY DEVOTIONAL | April 8th

With everything that is going on in the world today, it could seem like you are walking through the shadow of death. What is important is our perspective. Yes, there are things in this world that seem insurmountable, and there are things going on that are downright troubling. What should cause a difference of perspective is that we know who is with us. God is with us, and He protects and guides us. He always leads us into green pastures. He will lead us to a path of overflow and abundance. God is a good God, and He sent Jesus so that we can have life and have it more abundantly. Our abundant living is not based on what is going on in the world. Our abundant living is based on several factors, including our ability to hear His Voice and to obey once we hear. It doesn’t matter how dark it gets, we have a God. We have a God who loves us and desires to prosper us wherever we may find ourselves.

DAILY DEVOTIONAL | April 7th

When you make God the Source of everything in your life, including protection, He always comes through. When God is your Source, no evil will befall you and no plague or calamity can come near your dwelling place (home, apartment, etc.). That is good to know in the times that we are living in. There are all kinds of sicknesses, plagues, and then there is the potential for tragedy because Satan is the god of this world, and he comes to steal, kill, and destroy. Fortunately, when God is watching over you and His angels are keeping charge of you, no tragedies can come near your habitation. In verse seven of this psalm, it says that “A thousand may fall at your side and ten thousand at your right hand, but it shall not come near you.” Whatever caused the thousands to fall will not harm you, it cannot even come near your dwelling place. Take your eyes off what is going on in the world and keep your eyes on the promises of God. They will be life to you and health to all of your flesh (Proverbs 4:22).

DAILY DEVOTIONAL | April 6th

It was never the will of God for His people to experience the evil of the world. It was never the will of God for there to be evil in the world to begin with. Because of the fall of man, sin entered the world along with the curse. The curse included sickness, poverty, and spiritual death. But thank God that He sent His Son Jesus into the earth to take on the curse for us. The Bible tells us that Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law (Galatians 3:13). Because we have been redeemed, we can walk in divine health, divine wealth; and we can receive salvation by making Jesus Christ the Lord of our lives. We can live in this world and prosper when the rest of the world is going under. We can stay healthy in the middle of a pandemic. We can have joy in the middle of all the chaos that is going on around us because of the Greater One living on the inside of us. Let's go out and win today, we have been redeemed!
