DAILY DEVOTIONAL | May 3rd

We all started off as infants. Over time we grew in proportion to how we were fed. Most people started off on milk before they developed and matured to eat table foods. In the spiritual realm, it is no different for us as believers. If we are to grow spiritually, we must feed on the milk of the Word of God. Eventually, we will develop until we are feeding on the meat of the Word of God. Our growth and development are tied to the Word of God, so therefore we must be sure to feed on the Word just like we feed on natural food. If we fail to do so, we will risk being stagnant, and staying spiritual babies for the rest of our lives. Let's not stay the same. Let's continue to grow in the things of God. Let's strive to continue to grow until we are all that God desires us to be. We can’t be babies forever.

DAILY DEVOTIONAL | May 2nd

Solomon was at one time the wisest king on the planet. People came from all over the world to hear Solomon’s wisdom. Did you know that the One that gave Solomon his wisdom is living on the inside of you? Jesus Himself even said that One who is greater than Solomon is here (Matthew 12:42). The Bible tells us that Jesus is made unto us wisdom, righteousness, sanctification and redemption (I Corinthians 1:30). If we need wisdom, all we need to do is to simply ask (James 1:5). Whatever you are facing today, you can face it knowing that you have access to the One who gave Solomon the wisdom that he walked in. Draw on that wisdom and know that you’re in a better position than Solomon. As believers we are the children of God. Solomon wasn’t a child of God, yet he received what He asked of God. If he could receive wisdom like that under the Old Covenant, how much more the blood-bought, believer, the child of the most high God?

DAILY DEVOTIONAL | May 1st

When you have proper respect for the Lord, you realize everything comes from Him. Your gifts, talents, and abilities came from God. Humility is understanding that without God you are nothing. Humility is having a modest opinion about yourself. When you understand the Source of all that you have that is good is God, and you honor and respect the One who blessed you with all that you have, you will eventually experience more and more of His goodness. You will experience more of His blessings. The more you honor Him, the more He honors you (I Samuel 2:30).

We should love God because of who He is and what He has done for us, but even more than that, there should be a desire to know Him even more. The closer you get to God, the more you realize how desperate you need Him. The more you realize He is the key to all that you could possibly want, need, or desire. Eventually all those things become obsolete, because at the end of the day, we are here to bring Him glory; and we bring Him glory through humility and honoring God with our talents, gifts, and abilities.

DAILY DEVOTIONAL | April 30th

It is important to always walk in humility. The Bible tells us that God resists the proud and gives grace to the humble (I Peter 5:5). We must endeavor to not overestimate our importance. We must acknowledge that promotion comes from the Lord. We must allow God to bring us before great men and women. We must not think so highly of ourselves that we arbitrarily assume that we are on a level that no one thinks that we are on. It is better for someone to invite us to socialize and interact with great people, than to assume that we are on that level and force our way into those circles. It is better for someone to invite you to the head table than to assume that you belong there. God is the judge. He can elevate one and put down another. Let's let God do that. When we are ready to go to that next level, He will take us there. Let's not elevate ourselves. Leave it to God.

We all at some point should make an agreement with our eyes. We can also make it with our ears. We must guard what we see and what we hear. They are the gateway to the heart. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 4, that we should guard our hearts with all diligence for out of it flows the issues of life. We must be careful what we watch on television and what we watch on our phones. We must evaluate what types of music we listen to; we must consider our ways. We must not give the devil place, and one way that we do that is by considering what we are exposing ourselves to daily. Job made a covenant with his eyes, and maybe we should do the same. Maybe we should make a covenant with our eyes or at the very least, establish a standard. Once the standard is established, let's not lower it. Once we make the covenant with our eyes, don’t violate it. Let’s show God how serious we are about living a consecrated life, When we do, He will manifest Himself in a greater way when you do.

DAILY DEVOTIONAL | April 28th

When it comes to our lives, sometimes we forget that our time is in His Hands. As we get older, if things have not gone the way we want them to, or if our plans have not turned out the way we thought they would, we can tend to get discouraged. Sometimes we can look at people who are the same age or may have similar skill sets, and we get frustrated because they appear to be getting further along than we are. We must remember that our time is in His Hands. God knows how old we are. He knows how long we have been studying, working, etc. He knows all these things. We must STAY FOCUSED on the fact that our time is in His Hands. We must trust Him and know that He knows best. There is an old show called, “Father Knows Best.” Well, when it comes to our lives and the major transitions of our lives, Father knows best. God knows when we are ready for the next level, and He knows the right time for promotion. Take your eyes off other people and keep them on God, He is our Source of promotion and our source of everything. Every good gift and every perfect gift come from Him.

Many people love to quote verse thirty-two of this chapter. Many will tell you that you should know the truth and the truth shall set you free, but that is not the total truth. Jesus says in the verse prior, “If ye continue in my word.”. In other words, if you are consistent in my Word. One minister put it this way, “in consistency lies the power”. It's not what you do once or twice that sets you free. It's what you consistently do. If you are consistent in working out, there will be a change to your physical body. If you study consistently, your knowledge will increase along with your understanding. If you study the Word of God on a consistent basis, then spiritual growth will take place. Eventually you will receive revelation of the Word of God and eventually you will experience freedom in whatever area of your life you need freedom. Faith begins where the will of God is known. God’s Word is His will. Let's get consistent in the Word of God, your spirit man is counting on it.

DAILY DEVOTIONAL | April 26th

God’s desire for His people is that they have life. Not just life, but “life more abundantly” (John 10:10). A part of experiencing that life is to watch what we are saying. Our words can be a well of life, but it can also be a well of death. In the Garden of Eden, Adam and Eve only knew good. When they partook of the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil, they died spiritually, but they also started speaking death. Humanity has been doing it ever since; and unfortunately, they are still speaking death over their finances, their health, their relationships and anything else that is of significance or importance. We must speak life. We must speak the Word of God over our lives. By doing so we are opening the door for God to pour out His goodness upon us and to experience the life that Jesus came to give us. As we continue to speak life, that life will manifest; and we will eventually have what we say, if we do not doubt it in our hearts (Mark 11:23).

DAILY DEVOTIONAL | April 25th

We are the light of the world. The world may not always see it that way, but that is the way God sees us. We are His ambassadors. We are His representatives. This world would be in bad shape if we were not here. As God’s ambassadors, we cannot misrepresent Him. Not only that, but we cannot be ashamed of who we are. We cannot be ashamed to witness to the unbeliever. We must be willing to pray for people. We must be willing to lay our hands on the sick in obedience to the Great Commission. As believers we must embrace who we are and not be afraid of persecution. We cannot be afraid of being ostracized. God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Let us be the light of the world, God is counting on us, we are all that He has here.

DAILY DEVOTIONAL | April 24th

All things are possible. That would be hard to believe if Jesus had not said it. Since He said it, we are obligated to believe it. Regardless of what you may facing on today, God can handle it. God can handle your debt. God can handle your children. He can handle your finances. God handle everything in your life. He only asks that you believe. You must believe that He can do it even when it looks like there is no hope. Hope deferred makes the heart sick (Proverbs 13:12). We must know that nothing is too difficult for God and that He is more than capable to handle the challenges we face in life. Jesus told us that in the world we would have tribulations but to be of good cheer, He has overcome the world, even what seems to be impossible (John 16:33).

DAILY DEVOTIONAL | April 23rd

Jesus knew that His time was approaching. The time was approaching for Him to die for humanity. He had to come through a Samaritan village, and if you know anything about the Samaritans, you know that they did not like the Jewish people. This village would not receive Jesus or His disciples because of their ethnicity. It did not bother Jesus. Jesus was focused. Jesus knew why He was on the earth. He was not concerned about the rejection because He was all about fulfilling His purpose. His disciples got upset and two of them wanted to call down fire from heaven. When you are focused on your purpose, it's hard to get sidetracked by people not liking you. You are not moved by the petty things of this world. Stay focused on the path. What if Jesus was constantly distracted? Well, He wasn’t...He refused. He was obsessive about His purpose and eventually would fulfill His destiny. If we are to do the same, then we must do the same. We must remove all distractions and focus on our purpose.

DAILY DEVOTIONAL | April 22nd

God has dealt to every person who has been born again, the measure of faith. It is the measure of faith that will cause victory in every area of your life. Jesus came so that we could experience life in every area of our lives. Faith begins where the will of God is known. As you learn what belongs to you as a believer, you can then believe God for what He has already promised you. The Bible tells us that the promises of God in Him are yes and amen (2 Corinthians 1:20). He has already said yes to everything that has been promised to you. Find out what belongs to you, stand on God’s Word, and watch faith change every negative situation in your life.

DAILY DEVOTIONAL | April 21st

When it comes to forgiving people, it is not always the easiest thing. Our emotions sometimes want to hold on to the offense so that we can stay angry or receive pity when we tell people about the incident that took place. But...we are Christians. We are “Christ-like” ones. We are doers of the Word of God. If the Word of God tells us to forgive and let it go, we have no choice in the matter, we must forgive and we must let it go. It can seem impossible to be willing to forgive someone up to four hundred and ninety times in one day. That may seem like a demanding thing for us, but we must consider our Heavenly Father. How many times has He forgiven us? Some of us have come close to the four hundred and ninety times in a day. We must be imitators of our Father and doers of the Word. We must be love children of a love God. He would not ask you to do something that you were not capable of doing with His help. Let us be imitators of our Father by forgiving and moving on. Our faith is counting on it because faith works by love (Galatians 5:6).

DAILY DEVOTIONAL | April 20th

Isn’t God good? He not only blots out our transgressions, but He also said that He would not remember our sins anymore. It's our sins that separates us from God. God desires relationship with His children to the point that He would remove the barrier that would cause us to not be able to fellowship with Him: our sins. God won’t even remember the wrongs that we have done. He has such an intense love for us and wants us to come to Him for whatever we need. He is a loving Father and desires to fellowship with His children the way He fellowshipped with Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. So let's take advantage of the opportunities that have been given to us. Let's boldly approach the throne of grace and obtain help when we need it. There is nothing keeping us from it. He has removed all barriers!

DAILY DEVOTIONAL | April 19th

When a person makes Jesus Christ the Lord of his or her life, they become a new creation. One version of the Bible says that we become “a new species of being, one that has never existed before”. That is good news. It is good news because our past has been removed from us. There is no evidence that you were a sinner because you are now a new person altogether. Paul received a revelation of that. Despite his persecuting the church before his conversion, he was able to later say that he had wronged no man. He had a revelation of the Blood of Jesus. He had a revelation of redemption. We have not only have we been recreated, but God has also reconciled us to Him and made us to be in right standing with Him. We can come before God as if we have not sinned one day in our lives when we make Jesus the Lord of our lives. Even when we sin, if we confess our sin, He is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (I John 1:9).  We must meditate on these spiritual truths until they become a reality to us. When we receive a revelation of who we are in Christ we can say something like Jesus when He said, “Father I know that you always hear me (John 11:42).

DAILY DEVOTIONAL | April 18th

We have a secret weapon in prayer. When a Christian is filled with the Holy Spirit, that person receives a special prayer language. When a person prays in tongues or in their heavenly language, they are speaking mysteries and secret truths according to I Corinthians 14:2 (NKJV and Amplified Classic). When praying in the Spirit, your spirit is praying, and your understanding is unfruitful (I Corinthians 14:14). When making intercession for an individual, we may not always know what to pray, and that’s when we switch over to our secret weapon. That is when we pray in our prayer language, and the Spirit of God prays through us the perfect will of God concerning that individual or concerning the situation if we are praying about a specific situation. When the Spirit of God is praying through the perfect will of God through us, we then know that all things will work together for good. Let's use our secret weapon in prayer, it will cause us to come out on top every time.

DAILY DEVOTIONAL | April 17th

In this passage, Jesus is speaking. He is our example...our model. Notice His attitude in reference to the will of God. He says that He does not seek His own will. He goes on to say that He has no desire to do what is pleasing to Himself, He only desired the will of God. That must be our posture as well. We should only desire God’s will for our lives. We only desire to get His orders so that we can carry them out. True fulfillment can only come through walking out the Father’s orders. He always knows what is best for us. Let us be like Jesus. Let’s seek the will of God for our lives. His thoughts are higher than our thoughts, and His ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:11).

When God wants to take your life to another level, He sends someone into your life. Unfortunately, the devil does the same thing. When he wants to destroy your life, he will send someone into your life. As believers, we must be led by the Holy Spirit when it comes to choosing our friends. Friends should make you better. Friends should also be people who bring you closer to God. A godly friend would never ask you to do things that will jeopardize your salvation or compromise your value system. Every now and then we need to evaluate our friendships and make sure that our friends are making us better, not causing us to get worse. We should also be sure that we are a godly influence on the people in our lives. We should strive to be the light of the world, the salt of the earth.

These were the words spoken to Saul. Saul disobeyed God. He was supposed to destroy everything in the city, instead, he saved the best of all that was good and did not kill the king as he was instructed to do. His disobedience cost him the crown. Samuel reminded him that when he was small in his own eyes, God placed him in a position of royalty. He was the king of Israel. God wants to promote His people. However, one thing that could be hindering Him from doing that is our pride. The Bible tells us that pride comes before destruction. We must all get to a place where we understand that we are who we are by the grace of God. We must understand that our intelligence, talents, and abilities, all came from God. When we get to a place that we think we are smarter than God, we are on dangerous ground. Saul disobeyed God and thought his idea was better than God’s. We must never get to that place. We must be doers of the Word of God and, we must obey God at all costs. Let's stay little in our own eyes and keep our dependency on God. Without him we are nothing.

DAILY DEVOTIONAL | April 14th

God is our Source. God was Abraham’s Source of Blessing. Abraham even told the king of Sodom when the king tried to give him the spoils of a recent battle, “I have lift up mine hand unto the Lord, the most high God, the possessor of heaven and earth, that I will not take from a thread even to a shoe latchet, and that I will not take any thing that is thine, lest thou shouldest say, I have made Abram rich” (Genesis 14:22-23). Abraham would not take anything from the king. He was determined that God would be his source of blessing and towards the end of his life, his servant said, “The Lord hath blessed my master greatly; and he is become great; and he hath given him flocks, and herds, and silver, and gold, and menservants, and maidservants, and camels, and asses. (Genesis 24:35)” God is no respecter of persons. We also have access to the Blessing because we are part of the body of Christ which means that we ALSO have a covenant relationship with the God of Israel like Abraham. Make God your Source today. It is a decision you will not regret.
